Usage
The sound box can be operated from its built-in battery, which must be fully charged before first use. Connect the supplied power adapter to the sound box (CHARGE DC 5V microUSB socket) and then to the mains. The red LED will light up during charging. Charging is complete when the red LED turns off, or after approximately 3-3.5 hours for a fully discharged battery. Charging while the device is on may increase charging time.
Important Notes on Charging:
- Only use the supplied adapter. Using a lower-power adapter (e.g., a mobile phone charger) may damage the unit.
- Disconnect the adapter from the mains and the device after charging or use.
- Charging can cause noise in the loudspeakers.
- For extended battery life, keep the battery charged even when not in use.
Installation and Setup
All connections should be made with the system powered off. Ensure correct wiring and polarity. Keep microphone and audio cables away from power cords. Connect the power adapter first to the sound box, then to the power socket.
Set the VOLUME control to the minimum position before switching on. Press and hold the POWER button for 2 seconds to turn on the unit. Gradually increase the volume. Always set VOLUME to minimum before switching on/off to prevent speaker damage from noise impact.
Controls and Functions
Volume can be adjusted using the VOLUME rotary knob or the remote control's VOL+/VOL- buttons. After powering on, the wireless BT function activates automatically if a previously paired device is nearby. Functions can be selected by pressing the INPUT button (or MODE on the remote control): BT USB LINE FM BT.
Maximum Volume
Allow speakers to break in for the first 30-50 hours of operation, using only up to 50% capacity. At higher volumes, distorted sound may occur due to excessive input signal. Reduce the external equipment's signal level or the main volume (VOLUME) if necessary. The system's maximum volume is achieved when sound is clear and undistorted. Increasing volume beyond this point does not increase output power but increases distortion, which can harm the loudspeakers.
When using a microphone, place it as far as possible from the sound box to avoid feedback. Do not point the sound box towards the microphone, as feedback can damage the speakers. Increase volume gradually and reduce it immediately if noise occurs.
Wireless BT Connection
The device can be paired with other BT-enabled devices within a 10-meter range. After successful pairing, you can listen to music from your mobile phone, tablet, or notebook hands-free. Select BT mode (display shows BLUE text). Search for devices on your phone/tablet and select the speaker. A short beep confirms successful connection. Music playback can generally be controlled via the playback device's player (e.g., mobile phone's buttons).
- For older BT2.0 devices, the password may be "0000".
- Only one BT device can be paired at a time.
- The unit automatically reconnects to the last paired device if it's on and nearby.
- If the wireless connection is interrupted, press the INPUT button until BT function and pairing mode reactivate.
- Incoming phone calls will pause music playback.
- BT function performance may vary depending on the external device and environmental conditions (walls, human bodies, other electrical devices).
- Nearby electrical appliances may cause abnormal operation or noise, which does not indicate a device malfunction.
- Network noise may occur in speakers during charging.
MP3 Playback from USB Mass Storage
Insert a USB storage device to automatically switch to USB playback mode. The display shows elapsed time and song number. Playback starts automatically or by pressing the play button (▶️). Press the same button to pause (PAUSE). Use the scroll buttons (▶️▶️ / ◀️◀️) to select tracks or perform a quick search by holding them down. The remote control's RPT button allows repeating the current song (ONE) or all songs (ALL). The EQ button on the front panel can select EQ1-EQ2-EQ3 sound modes.
- The last played track can restart upon power-on.
- Recommended file system: FAT32. Do not use NTFS formatted memory units.
- If no sound is emitted or the USB memory is not recognized, remove and reconnect the memory, then re-select with the INPUT button. Switch the device off and on if necessary.
- Remove external memory only after changing the source or switching off the player to avoid data corruption. Do not remove during playback.
- Insert USB devices carefully; do not force them. Do not touch contacts.
- Be careful not to damage protruding USB devices.
- Abnormal operation may be caused by the mass storage device's features, not a device malfunction.
- Do not charge devices (e.g., mobile phones) from the USB socket.
Radio Usage
Select FM radio mode using the INPUT button. The display shows the reception frequency. Press and hold the play/pause button (▶️) to start automatic tuning and storing. After tuning, the device selects the first found station. Use the scroll buttons (▶️▶️ / ◀️◀️) to access other stations. The display shows program positions P 01...P 50. Holding the scroll buttons starts station search, stopping at the first found signal. Search may stop on variable signal strength, not always indicating a radio program. Radio reception quality depends on location and conditions. Keep the device away from large metal objects or other electrical appliances. Carefully extend the telescopic antenna and adjust for best reception.
Wired Audio Inputs (MIC INPUT, AUX INPUT)
Connect external devices with headphone or audio output via:
- MIC INPUT: 6.3mm socket for handheld microphone (not included).
- AUX INPUT: 3.5mm socket for headphone output or LINE output (mobile phone, tablet, computer, multimedia player).
Sound quality depends on the external device's audio signal quality and its volume/tone settings. It is recommended to switch off the equalizer on the playback device and use the EQ on the sound box only. Low input signal can cause noise; too high a signal can cause distortion. Maintain signal level at medium.
Remote Control
To use the remote control, pull out the insulating board from the battery compartment. If operation becomes uncertain or the range decreases, replace the battery (CR 2025, 3V button cell). Point the remote towards the control panel from 2-3 meters away. To replace the battery, turn the remote upside down, pull out the battery holder, and insert the new battery with the positive side facing up. Remove the battery if the unit will not be used for an extended period. Do not mix battery types or used/new batteries. Battery replacement should be done by an adult. Keep batteries out of reach of children. If battery liquid leaks, wear protective gloves and clean the holder with a dry cloth.
Warning: Risk of explosion if the battery is replaced incorrectly. Use only the same or equivalent battery type. Do not expose batteries to heat or direct sunlight. Do not open, burn, or short-circuit batteries. Do not charge non-rechargeable batteries. Do not use accumulators instead of batteries due to lower voltage and efficiency.
Button Cell Battery Warning: DO NOT SWALLOW THE BATTERY. RISK OF CHEMICAL BURN. Ingestion can cause severe internal burns within 2 hours and may lead to death. Keep new and used batteries out of reach of children. If the battery compartment cover does not close properly, discontinue use and keep away from children. If you suspect a battery has been swallowed or entered any body part, consult a doctor immediately.
Cleaning
Before cleaning, power off the device and unplug it from the mains. Use a soft, dry cloth. Do not use aggressive cleaners or liquids.
