Product Overview

This document provides instructions for the Bytech 4-Foot Extendable Tripod and its accompanying remote shutter. The tripod is designed for stable camera or smartphone mounting, while the remote shutter allows for wireless photo capture.

Remote Shutter Operation

Status Indicator

Rapid blinking: Ready to pair.

Slow blinking: Successfully paired.

Pairing Instructions

1. Turn on the shutter using the ON/OFF switch. The Status Indicator light will blink rapidly, indicating it is ready to pair.
2. Activate Bluetooth functionality on your smartphone.
3. Select "BY-MC-204" from the list of available devices.

Note: The remote shutter does not require re-pairing after the initial setup.

Shooting Instructions

1. Open a camera application on your device.
2. Press the button corresponding to your device's operating system (Button 1 for iOS, Button 2 for Android) to take a picture.
3. Turn off the Remote Shutter when not in use to preserve battery life.

Installing the Battery

To install or replace the CR2032 battery:

1. Open the battery cover.
2. Place the CR2032 battery with the positive (+) side facing up.
3. Clean the battery contacts with a dry cloth prior to battery replacement.
4. Ensure the battery is installed with the correct polarity.
5. Remove the battery when the device is being stored or the battery is spent to prevent damage.

Tripod Setup

The tripod features several adjustable components:

• Phone Clamp: Secures smartphones. Features a pull tab for easy insertion and removal.
• Angle Ball Joint: Allows for tilt and rotation adjustments.
• Height Bolts: Used to extend and lock the tripod legs at desired heights.
• Leg Bolt: Secures the legs in their extended position.
• Leg: The main support structure.
• Leg Support Guide: Aids in extending the legs.

Setup Steps

1. Loosen the leg bolt by turning it counter-clockwise until tension is relieved.
2. Pull each leg outward. Push up on the leg support guide until it is off the ground when the tripod is set down. Adjust height to clear obstacles if operating outdoors.
3. Lock the legs by screwing the leg bolt clockwise until it prevents further leg movement.
4. Place your smartphone horizontally into the phone clamp. Pull up on the pull tab to open the clamp, then release it to secure your smartphone against the soft, non-slip surface.
5. Loosen the angle ball joint bolt and adjust to the desired angle. A vertical position can be achieved by rotating the screw plate into the groove opposite the ball joint secure bolt.
6. Adjust the tripod to the desired height using the height bolts. Ensure all adjusted bolts are tightened securely to prevent undesired movement.
7. To mount a camera, unscrew and remove the phone clamp from the screw plate.

Cautions and Warnings

General Cautions

• To protect your smartphone, keep the tripod on a smooth surface (if used indoors).
• Prevent external forces from tipping the tripod, especially when it is top-heavy with a device attached.
• Do not press down on the tripod while the bolts are locked, as this could break or deform the legs.

Battery Warnings

• The batteries used with this product are small parts and should be kept away from small children who may put things in their mouths.
• If a battery is swallowed, promptly seek medical attention and have a doctor call Poison Control at 1-800-222-1222.
• Only replace the battery with another CR2032 battery.

Warranty Information

Bytech NY INC. warrants this product to be free from defects in materials and workmanship to the original purchaser for a period of 12 months from the original purchase date. Bytech's responsibility with regard to this limited warranty shall be limited solely to repair or replacement, at its option, of any product which fails during normal consumer use. This warranty does not extend to damage or failure resulting from misuse, neglect, accident, alteration, abuse, improper installation, or maintenance.

To claim warranty service: At any time during the 12-month period following purchase, if the product fails due to defects in material or workmanship, return the defective product (with freight prepaid) along with proof of purchase. Please include $5.00 for return shipping and handling.
