Getting Started: Setup
1. Setting Up the Auto-Empty Station
Position the Auto-Empty Station on a hard, level surface against a wall. Ensure sufficient clearance around the station for the robot to dock and for proper airflow:
- Clearance in front: 1 meter (3.3 ft)
- Clearance on both sides: 0.5 meters (1.6 ft)
- Clearance above: 1.5 meters (5 ft)
Connect the provided power adapter to the Auto-Empty Station and plug it into a suitable wall outlet.
2. Installing Side Brushes
Attach the two side brushes to the designated posts on the underside of the DEEBOT robot. Press down firmly until they click into place. Ensure the brushes are correctly oriented.
3. Charging the Robot
Carefully place the DEEBOT N10 PLUS onto the Auto-Empty Station, ensuring the charging contacts on the robot align with those on the station. The robot will automatically begin charging. It is recommended to fully charge the robot before its first cleaning session (typically 4-5 hours).
4. Downloading the ECOVACS HOME App
To unlock advanced features and control your DEEBOT remotely, download the ECOVACS HOME app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store on your smartphone. Follow the in-app instructions to create an account, connect your DEEBOT to your home Wi-Fi network (2.4 GHz band), and complete the setup.
Operation
Starting a Cleaning Session
You can initiate, pause, or stop a cleaning cycle using several methods:
- Robot Buttons: Press the ⏻ (Power/Start/Pause) button on the robot to begin or pause cleaning. Press the ? (Home) button to send the robot back to its charging station.
- ECOVACS HOME App: Use the app interface for full control, including scheduling, mode selection, and real-time status updates.
Cleaning Modes
The DEEBOT N10 PLUS offers various cleaning modes to suit different needs, selectable via the ECOVACS HOME app:
- Auto Mode: The robot systematically cleans the entire accessible floor area.
- Edge Mode: Designed to clean along walls and around furniture legs for thorough edge cleaning.
- Spot Mode: For concentrated cleaning of a specific, heavily soiled area.
Mopping Function
To activate the mopping function, attach the cleaning cloth holder and a damp cleaning cloth to the underside of the robot. Ensure the water tank is filled with clean water only (do not use harsh chemicals or cleaning solutions unless explicitly approved by ECOVACS). Select the appropriate mopping mode in the app.
Auto-Empty Function
Upon completion of a cleaning cycle or when the robot's dustbin is full, the DEEBOT N10 PLUS will automatically return to the Auto-Empty Station. The station will then efficiently empty the robot's dustbin into its larger capacity bag, and the robot will resume cleaning if necessary or recharge.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance is crucial for keeping your DEEBOT N10 PLUS performing at its best. Follow these guidelines:
1. Cleaning the Dustbin and Filter
Empty the robot's internal dustbin after each cleaning session. Clean the filter (e.g., rinse with water and allow to air dry completely) weekly and replace it approximately every 1-2 months, depending on usage.
2. Cleaning the Main Brush and Side Brushes
Periodically remove the main brush and side brushes. Use the provided cleaning tool to remove tangled hair, threads, and debris. Ensure brushes are free from obstructions before reinstallation.
3. Cleaning the Sensors and Charging Contacts
Gently wipe the robot's various sensors (e.g., cliff sensors, obstacle sensors, wall sensors) and the charging contacts on both the robot and the station with a clean, dry, soft cloth. This ensures accurate navigation and reliable charging.
4. Cleaning the Cleaning Cloth and Holder
Wash the cleaning cloth after each mopping task. The cleaning cloth holder should also be wiped clean to prevent residue buildup.
5. Cleaning the Auto-Empty Station
Check the dustbin bag within the Auto-Empty Station regularly. Replace the bag when it is full. Wipe down the interior and exterior of the station as needed.
