Important Safety Instructions

When using an electrical appliance, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including:

BEFORE USING THIS APPLIANCE, READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS. KEEP THESE INSTRUCTIONS.

  1. This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
  2. Clear the cleaning area. Remove power cords and small objects from the floor that could entangle the appliance. Tuck rug fringes under the rug and lift items such as curtains and tablecloths from the floor.
  3. If the cleaning area has a drop-off due to a step or stairs, the appliance should be used with supervision on its first use to ensure it can detect the step and not fall off. A barrier may need to be placed at the edge of the drop-off to prevent the appliance from falling. Ensure the barrier does not pose a tripping hazard.
  4. Use only as described in this manual. Use only accessories recommended or sold by the manufacturer.
  5. Ensure the power source voltage matches the voltage rating on the charging dock.
  6. FOR DOMESTIC USE ONLY. Do not use the appliance outdoors, in commercial, or industrial environments.
  7. Use only the original battery and charging dock supplied with the appliance by the manufacturer. Do not use non-rechargeable batteries.
  8. Do not operate the appliance without the dustbin and/or filters installed.
  9. Do not use the appliance in areas with lit candles or delicate objects.
  10. Do not use the appliance in extremely cold or hot conditions (below -5°C/23°F or above 40°C/104°F).
  11. Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers, and all parts of the body away from any openings and moving parts of the appliance.
  12. Do not use the appliance in a room where an infant or child is sleeping.
  13. Do not use the appliance on wet surfaces or surfaces with standing water.
  14. Ensure the appliance does not pick up large objects, such as stones, large pieces of paper, or any objects that could clog the appliance.
  15. Do not use the appliance to pick up flammable or combustible materials, such as gasoline, printer toner, or copier toner, or use it in areas where they may be present.
  16. Do not use the appliance to pick up burning or smoking items, such as cigarettes, matches, hot ashes, or anything that may cause a fire.
  17. Do not insert objects into the suction inlet. Do not use the appliance if the suction inlet is blocked. The air inlet should be free of dust, lint, hair, or other items that may reduce airflow.
  18. Be careful not to damage the power cord. Do not pull or carry the appliance or charging dock by the power cord, use the power cord as a handle, close a door on the power cord, or pull the power cord around sharp edges or corners. Do not run the appliance over the power cord. Keep the power cord away from heated surfaces.
  19. If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent to avoid a hazard.
  20. Do not use the charging dock if it is damaged. If the power adapter is damaged or malfunctions, do not attempt to repair it or continue using it.
  21. Do not use the appliance with a damaged power cord or plug. Do not use the appliance or charging dock if they are not working properly, have been dropped, damaged, left outdoors, or dropped into water. They must be repaired by the manufacturer or its service agent to avoid a hazard.
  22. Before cleaning or performing maintenance on the appliance, turn off the power switch.
  23. Before cleaning or performing maintenance on the charging dock, unplug it from the electrical outlet.
  24. To remove the battery for disposal of the appliance, remove the appliance from the charging dock and turn off the appliance using the power switch.
  25. Before disposing of the appliance, remove the battery and dispose of it in accordance with applicable regulations.
  26. Dispose of used batteries in accordance with local regulations.
  27. Do not incinerate the appliance, even if it is severely damaged. Batteries may explode in a fire.
  28. If the charging dock will not be used for an extended period, unplug it from the power supply.
  29. The appliance must be used in accordance with the instructions provided in this user manual. Ecovacs Home Service Robotics is not responsible for any damage or injury caused by improper use.
  30. The robot contains batteries that can only be replaced by qualified personnel. To replace or remove the battery, contact customer service.
  31. If the robot will not be used for an extended period, turn it off for storage and unplug the charging dock.
  32. WARNING: Only use the detachable power supply unit CH2358 supplied with the appliance to charge the battery. The type of lithium battery suitable for the CH2358 station is: max. 8 cells, max. rated voltage 14.4 V (DC), rated capacity 5900 mAh. Before disposing of the appliance, remove the battery and dispose of it in accordance with applicable regulations. To comply with radio frequency requirements, maintain a distance of 20 cm between the appliance and people nearby during operation. To ensure compliance with these requirements, it is not recommended to stay at a shorter distance. The antenna used in this transmitter should not be co-located with any other antenna or transmitter.
  33. Appliance Update: Typically, some appliances are updated every two months, but not always precisely. Some appliances, especially those sold more than three years ago, will only be updated if a critical vulnerability is detected and needs to be fixed.

Correct Disposal of This Product

This marking indicates that this product should not be disposed of with other household waste throughout the EU. Sensors:

Before Cleaning

Preparation:

  • Remove furniture (e.g., chairs) from the cleaning area and place them elsewhere.
  • Clear the floor of all objects such as cables, clothes, or slippers to improve cleaning efficiency.
  • If the cleaning area has a drop-off, consider placing a barrier to prevent the robot from falling.
  • For the first use, ensure all doors to rooms are open to allow the DEEBOT to map the entire home.
  • For carpets with fringes, fold the edges under before cleaning.
  • Avoid standing in narrow spaces like corridors, and ensure you do not block the d-ToF sensor.

Before using the appliance, remove all protective materials.

Download the ECOVACS HOME App

To access all features, it is recommended to control the DEEBOT via the ECOVACS HOME app.

  1. Scan the QR code under the upper cover to download the app.
  2. Search for ECOVACS HOME to download the app.

Connect DEEBOT to the App

1. Via Bluetooth: Turn on the DEEBOT and enable Bluetooth on your mobile phone. Allow the app to connect via Bluetooth. Tap Add in the app. The app will automatically detect nearby robots. You can also scan the QR code to enter Bluetooth pairing mode.

2. Via Wi-Fi: The DEEBOT can be connected to the app through various methods described within the app. Note: For enhanced functionality, connect via Bluetooth.

Wi-Fi Network Requirements:

  • Use a mixed 2.4 GHz or 2.4/5.0 GHz network.
  • Router must support 802.11b/g/n and IPv4.
  • Do not use VPN or proxy servers.
  • Do not use hidden networks.
  • WPA and WPA2 with TKIP, PSK, AES/CCMP encryption.
  • WEP EAP is not supported.
  • Use Wi-Fi channels 1-11 in North America and 1-13 elsewhere.
  • If using an extender/repeater, the SSID and password must be the same as the main network.
  • Ensure WPA2 is enabled on your router.

Wi-Fi Indicator:

  • Pulsing white: Wi-Fi disconnected.
  • Solid white: Wi-Fi connected.

Charging the DEEBOT Robot

1. Mount the Station: Ensure the station is connected to a power source. Use the ECOVACS HOME app to command the DEEBOT to return to the station for charging.

Note: Smart functions like remote start, voice control, map display, and personalized cleaning require the ECOVACS HOME app. You must accept the Privacy Policy and User Agreement. If not accepted, some smart functions may be unavailable, but basic manual operation will still work.

Setting Up the Station

Maintain an area clear of objects around the station, especially reflective surfaces.

  • Ensure at least 0.1m (0.33 ft) clearance on the sides and 0.8m (2.62 ft) in front.
  • If reflective objects (mirrors, baseboards) are nearby, cover them up to 14 cm from the bottom.
  • Do not place the station in direct sunlight.
  • Place the station where Wi-Fi signal is strong.

Using Water Tanks:

  • It is recommended to use the ECOVACS DEEBOT cleaning solution (sold separately). Other cleaners may cause slipping, tank blockage, or other issues.
  • This model is compatible with the ECOVACS auto water add/drain module. Purchase via the ECOVACS HOME App or at https://www.ecovacs.com.

Powering On and Charging

4. Power On: Use the 'I' (ON) and 'O' (OFF) switch.

5. Charging the DEEBOT Robot: Ensure the station is powered. Use the ECOVACS HOME app to command the robot to return to the station for charging.

  • The robot cannot charge if the power is off.
  • It is recommended to leave the robot powered on and charging when not in use.
  • It is recommended that the DEEBOT starts cleaning from the station. Do not move the station during operation.

Operating the DEEBOT Robot

1. Map Creation: Use the ECOVACS HOME app to have the DEEBOT create a map. During the first mapping, follow the robot to help resolve minor issues. The robot automatically maps the home environment; the exploration path may differ from the cleaning path. Configure virtual boundaries in the app (Map > Virtual Boundary).

2. Starting Vacuuming:

  • The robot detects floor type and will automatically lift mops on carpets. Do not use on shag carpets or carpets with pile longer than 10mm. Consider folding long-pile carpets or setting them as no-go zones in the app.
  • Before first use, ensure the robot is docked and fully charged. Start by pressing the button on the robot or via the ECOVACS HOME app.

3. Pause: Press the button on the robot or use the ECOVACS HOME app to pause cleaning.

4. Wake Up: If the indicator light turns off during a pause, press the robot button to wake it. The robot may enter standby mode after about an hour of inactivity.

Notes:

  • Do not remove mop pads too frequently.
  • Do not use abrasive cloths or objects that could scratch the mop pads.
  • Replace mop pads promptly when prompted by the ECOVACS HOME app. More accessories are available via the app or at https://www.ecovacs.com.

5. Return to Dock: Use the ECOVACS HOME app to command the robot to return to the station for charging.

6. Deep Sleep Mode: To conserve battery, DEEBOT enters deep sleep if left outside the station for approximately 5 hours. Power cycle the robot to wake it.

7. Station: If the DEEBOT is in the station, short press the button to start/pause the robot. Press and hold the button for automatic station cleaning.

Dustbin and Filter Maintenance

  1. Remove the dustbin.
  2. Rinse the filter with water as shown. Note: Do not use fingers or brushes to clean the filter.
  3. Dry the filter thoroughly before use.

  • Clean components with a clean, dry cloth. Avoid using spray cleaners and detergents.
  • Rotate the module to gently clean the lens.

OMNI Station Maintenance

Note: Do not initiate auto-cleaning while the DEEBOT is operating.

If dirty water remains in the cleaning bin, press and hold the button to drain the water first, then press and hold the button to start automatic cleaning.

  1. Press and hold the button for 3 seconds to start self-cleaning.
  2. Clean the mop washing bin.
  3. The station will automatically drain water from the cleaning bin.
  4. Empty the dirty water tank.

Mop Washing Bin Maintenance

  1. Remove the detachable tray and base filter for washing.
  2. Reinstall.

Note: The mop washing bin must be installed correctly to prevent malfunctions.

Dust Bag Maintenance

  1. Remove the dust bag. Press the button to release the dustbin. Hold the handle to remove the dust bag, which helps prevent dust from escaping.
  2. Clean the dustbin with a dry cloth and insert a new dust bag.
  3. Close the dustbin. Press the button until it clicks.

Storage

Before storing, fully charge and turn off the DEEBOT. Charge the robot every 1.5 months to prevent excessive battery discharge.

Note: ⚠️ The robot cannot charge if the power is off. If the robot is not in use, it is recommended to leave it powered on and charging. If the battery is severely discharged or has not been used for a long time, the DEEBOT may not charge. Contact ECOVACS for assistance. Do not attempt to disassemble the battery yourself.

Troubleshooting
