Unpacking

Before use, please check the device and ensure that the following items are included in the package:

Installation Features

Important Considerations:

• Do not place the device under direct sunlight, as this may negatively affect its performance and cause damage due to high temperature.
• When installing the device indoors, ensure it is placed at a distance of at least 2 meters from light sources and at least 3 meters from windows and doors.

Illustrations depict incorrect placement due to direct sunlight, indirect sunlight, and proximity to light sources, highlighting potential issues like glare or overheating.

Flush Mounting

Step 1: Installing the Bracket/Box

1. Standard Installation:

• Cut a rectangular opening in the wall with dimensions of approximately 207mm (height) x 89mm (width) x 40mm (depth) to route all cables.
• Insert the mounting box into the prepared wall opening.
• Use the mounting box to mark four screw hole locations on the wall.
• Remove the mounting box. Drill four holes at the marked locations using a 6mm drill bit to a depth of 25mm.
• Insert four plastic dowels into the drilled holes.
• Secure the mounting box to the wall using four ST4x20 screws.
• The installation of the mounting box is now complete.

2. Alternative Method (without screws):

• Alternatively, a simpler method can be used without ST4x20 screws.
• Cut a rectangular opening in the wall (approx. 207mm height x 89mm width x 40mm depth) to route cables.
• Use cement or other non-corrosive construction adhesive to fill the gap between the wall and the mounting box. Allow the adhesive to dry completely before proceeding.
• Waterproofing Tip: Ensure gaps around the flush-mounted box are sealed to prevent water ingress. A visor can also be used as an alternative.
• The mounting box installation is complete.

Step 2: Installing the Bracket for Mounting

• Insert the R20K/R20B device into the mounting bracket, following the provided diagram.
• Secure the device to the bracket using four round-head mounting screws (M4x15 TORX screws are also mentioned for securing the device to the bracket in a later step, but the diagram here shows round head screws).
• Flush bracket mounting is complete.

Step 3: Installing the Rear Cover

• For easier installation, hang the R20K/R20B unit using the provided mounting bracket.
• Route the cables through the rear cover and connect them to the appropriate connectors on the main board.
• Select the correct size rubber plug for the cables passing through the cover. Secure the sealing plate to the rear cover using two M2.5x6 screws.
• Note on Rubber Plugs: Use the small plug for one Ethernet cable or fewer than 6 signal wires. Use the medium plug for 7 to 10 signal wires. Use the large plug for 11 or more signal wires.
• Secure the rear cover to the device using four M2.5x6 screws.
• Install the device onto the bracket using two TORX M4x15 screws.
• Installation is complete. Remove the protective film from the device.
