What's in the Box
The package for your AKASO EK7000 Action Camera typically includes:

Getting Started
Powering On/Off
- To Power ON: Press the Power / Mode Button.
- To Power OFF: Press and hold the Power / Mode Button.
Micro SD Card
A Micro SD card is required for recording or taking pictures. Ensure it meets the following specifications:
- Type: MicroSD / Micro SDHC / Micro SDXC
- Class: Class 10 / UHS-I
- Capacity: Up to 32GB (compatible with 8GB, 16GB, 32GB cards).
Important: Format the SD card in the camera before first use. Regular formatting helps maintain the card's condition. Always back up your data before formatting.
Battery
Ensure the battery is fully charged before the first use.
- Charging: Connect the camera to a computer or USB power supply using the provided USB cable.
- The charging indicator light remains ON while charging.
- The light turns OFF when the battery is fully charged.
- Charging time is typically 3-5 hours.
Camera Modes
Video Mode
This is the default mode upon powering on the camera.
- Ensure the Video icon is displayed on the screen. If not, press the Power / Mode Button repeatedly until it appears.
- To Start Recording: Press the Shutter / Select Button. The status light will flash, and a beep will sound.
- To Stop Recording: Press the Shutter / Select Button again. The status light will stop flashing, and a beep will sound.
- The camera automatically stops recording when the battery is low, saving the video before powering off.
Loop Recording
In Settings, enable Loop Recording. When in Video Mode, press the OK Button (or Shutter/Select Button) to record. Videos are saved automatically (typically around 10 minutes per file, depending on resolution). When the memory is full, older files are overwritten.
Photo Mode
Switch to Photo Mode by pressing the Power / Mode Button repeatedly.
- To Take a Photo: In Photo Mode, press the Shutter / Select Button. A shutter sound will be emitted if enabled in settings.
Burst Photo Mode
Switch to Burst Photo Mode by pressing the Power / Mode Button repeatedly.
- In this mode, the camera takes 3 photos in 1.5 seconds. A shutter sound will be emitted if enabled.
- To Capture a Burst Series: Press the Shutter / Select Button.
Time Lapse Mode
Switch to Time Lapse Mode by pressing the Power / Mode Button repeatedly. Ensure "Continuous Lapse" is set to ON in Settings.
- The camera captures a series of photos at intervals of 2s, 3s, 5s, 10s, 20s, 30s, or 60s.
- To Capture a Time Lapse: Press the Shutter / Select Button. The camera will start a countdown and emit a shutter sound for each photo taken.
Playback Mode
To review photos and videos:
- Ensure the camera is in Photo or Video Mode.
- Press the UP / Playback Button to enter the Playback menu.
- Use the Power / Mode Button to cycle through options or the UP/Down buttons to navigate.
- Press the Shutter / Select Button to select an option or playback media.
- Use UP / Playback Button or Down / Wi-Fi Button to cycle through thumbnails.
- To Delete: Long-press the Shutter / Select Button to access the delete menu.
- To Return to Playback Menu: Press the Power / Mode Button.
- To Exit Playback Mode: Hold the Up / Playback Button for 2 seconds.
Settings
Access the settings menu to configure your camera:
- Press the Power / Mode Button repeatedly to cycle to Settings.
- Press the Shutter / Select Button to enter the settings menu.
- Use the Power / Mode Button to cycle through options and the Shutter / Select Button to select.
- Alternatively, use the Up / Down Buttons to navigate options.
- To exit Settings, navigate to the last option, press Power / Mode Button, then select the exit option (X) by pressing Shutter / Select Button.

Camera App (iSmart DV)
Connect your camera to a smartphone or tablet using the iSmart DV app for remote control.
- Download the iSmart DV app from Google Play or Apple App Store.
- Power on the camera and switch to Photo Mode. Press the Down / Wi-Fi Button to turn on Wi-Fi. The screen will show "Waiting for WiFi connection".
- On your mobile device, search for the Wi-Fi network named 'iCam...' (e.g., 'iCam-H9R', 'iCam-AKASO', 'iCam-W9').
- Connect using the password: 1234567890.
- Open the iSmart DV app on your mobile device.
- To Turn Off Wi-Fi: Press and hold the Down / Wi-Fi Button for 3 seconds. This conserves battery life.
Camera Maintenance
- Store the camera in a dry, shady place when not in use.
- Use protective cases to prevent scratches on the lens and LCD screen.
- Cleaning the Lens: Gently blow away dust. Use a soft cloth or optical paper. Mild detergent can be used if necessary, but avoid organic solvents. Do not touch the lens with fingers.
- Avoid moist or dusty environments, as this can lead to electrical issues.
- Protect the camera from drops and impacts, which can damage internal components.
- Avoid prolonged exposure to high temperatures and direct sunlight to prevent damage.
- The camera may become warm during extended use, which is normal.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
- Q: Video files cannot be played on computers.
- A: The software may not support the H.264 codec, or your computer may not support 4K display.
- Q: Wi-Fi network cannot be found on phone/tablet.

- Toggle your phone/tablet's Wi-Fi off and on.
- Power the camera ON.
- Ensure Wi-Fi is enabled in the camera's settings.
- On your device, open wireless settings and connect to the camera's Wi-Fi network.
- If the network is not listed, try another device.
- If issues persist, contact seller support with a detailed description of the problem.
- Q: Camera footage is distorted or has poor quality.
- A:
- Condensation: Camera housing may have condensation. Place the camera in sunlight for 1-2 hours.
- Lens Fault: The lens may have scratches or cracks. Inspect the lens carefully.
- Sensor Fault: The camera's sensor may be faulty if photos/videos are corrupted or distorted.
- Q: Camera does not work with the memory card.
- A:
- Try the memory card in another device. If it fails there, the card may be faulty.
- If the card works on another device, ensure it is a Class 10 SD card.
- If the card is functional and still doesn't work in the camera, the memory card slot might be faulty. Contact seller support.
- Q: No sound recorded with video.
- A: The waterproof case's seal can affect audio. For better sound, remove the camera from the waterproof case before recording. If recording inside the case, the audio may be muffled.
