Installation Guide
Disassemble the rear bumper and permanently remove the plastic trim. Permanently remove the two metal impact absorbers. Disconnect the exhaust from its two rear mountings and remove the heat shield.
Position the tow bar with its support arms into the openings at the rear of the chassis (refer to installation photos 1 and 2). The points (A) on the tow bar align with the pre-drilled holes on the chassis beam (refer to installation photos 3 and 4). Insert bolts and washers, but do not tighten them yet.
Fit the tow ball or T36 piece. Mount the safety bracket on the left side and secure the bolts with two standard nuts. Attach mounting piece (-d) with points (F) to the bolts and tighten securely with the lock nuts. Point (C) fits into the towing eye opening. On the other side, attach mounting piece (-e), and insert the bolt and washer. Tighten all components securely.
Make a cut in the bumper according to the provided template and re-mount the bumper. Re-attach the exhaust and reinstall the heat shield.
Important Notes:
- For the maximum permissible towing weight your vehicle can handle, please consult your vehicle dealer.
- If necessary, remove any bitumen or anti-vibration layer from the tow bar mounting points.
- Exercise caution when drilling to avoid damaging brake lines or electrical wiring.
