Remove Keycaps
To remove a keycap, place the arms of the keycap puller tool on the sides or top/bottom of the keycap. Pull upwards with careful but constant pressure. Avoid pulling keycaps directly with your fingers, as this may damage the switch.
Remove Switches
After removing the keycap, position the switch puller tool on the front and back tabs of the switch. Ensure both tabs are securely pressed. The switch should remove without resistance. If needed, remove adjacent keycaps for better access. Press both tabs of the switch with the puller tool and pull the switch vertically upwards from the socket. Avoid pulling in a slanted direction to prevent damage.
Install Switches
Position the switch so one tab is at the front and the other at the back. Align each pin on the underside of the switch with its corresponding contact in the keyboard socket. Insert the switch vertically into the socket opening at a 90-degree angle. Incorrect installation can damage the switch. After placing the switch, gently push it to secure it. Do not use excessive force, as this can damage fragile components.
