General Information
Activation
The lock is activated by pressing the [ON] button on the keypad. The button will illuminate. The display will briefly show the BURG-WÄCHTER logo before the PIN code or fingerprint input screen appears.
Languages
The menu interface is available in twelve languages and can be set via the 'Language' menu option. Detailed instructions are provided in the 'Menu Language/Language' chapter.
Lockout Times
As a security measure against manipulation, the lock will block access to the safe for five minutes if an incorrect code or fingerprint is entered fifteen times consecutively. During this lockout period, the remaining time will count down on the display. The safe cannot be opened during this time, even with a valid user or administrator code.
Enhancing Burglary Protection
Ensure that codes are not disclosed to unauthorized persons. Store codes securely, accessible only to authorized individuals. If a code is lost, the lock must be reset to a new code.
- The factory code must be changed as soon as the lock is put into operation.
- Simple codes that are easy to guess (e.g., 1-2-3-4-5-6) must not be used.
- Personal data (e.g., birthdays) or other information that could identify the code holder must not be used as codes.
- After changing the code, test the lock multiple times with the safe door open.
Caution: All changes to the administrator code, factory code, and user codes must be performed with the safe door open! After the locking system has been reset to a new code, it must be operated multiple times with the new code while the door is open.

The SecuTronic lock consists of the following components:
- A Display: Shows current status and menu options.
- B Digit Keys: Keys labeled '0' through '9' used for code entry.
