Parts and Components

Assembly Instructions

Step 1: Assemble the wheel base.

Take the base (Part G). After removing the metallic chrome rosette, insert the legs (Part E) one by one into the base.

Step 2: Attach the mechanism to the seat.

Note: Handle the cables carefully. They are marked in red here. When routing the cables, please ensure they run above the plastic frame. Route as shown below.

Step 3: Place the seat onto the wheel base.

Now, place the seat with the opening of the seat mechanism onto the gas spring of the lower wheel base, ensuring the seat is securely attached.

Step 4: Attach the backrest.

Attach the backrest (Part B) to the seat by aligning it with the pre-drilled holes under the seat base. Then, tighten them with the included backrest screws (Part L) and the Allen key (Part O).

Step 5: Attach the armrests to the seat.

Align the armrests (Part C) with the pre-drilled holes on the underside of the seat and tighten them with the supplied armrest screws (Part J) and the Allen key (Part O).

Step 6: Attach the headrest to the backrest.

Take the headrest (Part D), align it with the pre-drilled holes on the back of the backrest, and tighten it securely using the supplied headrest screws (Part M) and the Allen key (Part O).

Usage

Height Adjustment

Pull the "Height Adjustment Knob" (located on the right side of your seat) upwards to unlock the seat. Ensure no weight is on the chair for it to move upwards. Adjust the chair height and push the knob down to lock the position. To lower the seat, remain seated and pull the "Height Adjustment Knob" upwards again.

Seat Depth Adjustment

Pull the "Seat Depth Adjustment Knob" upwards to unlock the seat. You can then slide your hip forward on the seat surface to adjust the seat depth. Once your ideal seating position is found, simply push the knob down to lock the position. To release the position, pull the knob upwards again.

Backrest Tilt

Adjust the backrest tilt by holding the "Tilt Adjustment Knob" down in the starting position. Lean back, and the tilting process begins. There are three additional locking positions up to 135 degrees. Once the desired angle is reached, pull the knob upwards to lock the backrest. To release the backrest in any tilted position, push the knob down again and lean back slightly until a [click sound] is heard. This will return the backrest to the upright starting position without resistance from body weight.

Backrest Tilt Tension

Find the "Tilt Tension Adjustment Knob" located beneath the seat. Turn it clockwise to enjoy reduced tilt tension in free-swing mode. Turn it counter-clockwise to increase the backrest tilt tension. Feel free to experiment to find the setting that best suits your needs.

Backrest Height Adjustment

Ideally, stand behind the MasterSeat and hold the backrest firmly with both hands on each side. You can now adjust it upwards in four different height stages. Each time a height stage is reached, a [click sound] will be heard as an indicator. To return the backrest to the starting position, pull the backrest up to the highest stage, then pull it down quickly until a [click sound] is heard in the lowest position. This [click sound] indicates that everything is back in the starting position and can be adjusted individually.

4D Armrest Adjustment

Height Adjustment: Find the "Armrest Adjustment Knob" on the outside, under each armrest lever. Press and hold the knob, then move the armrest up or down to the desired height. Release the knob to fix the armrest.

Width Adjustment: Use the next adjustment knob on the inside of the respective armrest, just below the arm pad. Press and hold this knob while simultaneously sliding the armrests from side to side to best match your body width. Release the knob to fix the armrest position.

Swivel Adjustment: To swivel the armrests, operate the adjustment knob on the inside of the armrest, at the height of the arm pad, and hold it down. Release the knob again to fix the position in the respective swivel angle.

Forward & Back Adjustment (Linear Shift): The fourth adjustment option is sliding the armrest forward and backward. Press the same inner adjustment knob on the inside of the armrest and at the height of the arm pad again, and simultaneously slide the armrest backward or push it forward. A desired linear shift can be fixed by simply releasing the adjustment knob. This function will also help you find your optimal seating position.

Headrest Adjustment

Our MasterSeat headrest can be adjusted in height, angle, and depth (forward and backward).

Height Adjustment: Similar to the height-adjustable backrest, simply pull the headrest upwards. There are six different height stages, and an audible [click sound] indicates reaching the next height stage. To return the headrest to the starting position, pull it up beyond the sixth and highest stage, then pull it down quickly until a [click sound] is heard in the lowest position. This [click sound] indicates that everything is back in the starting position and can be adjusted individually.

Depth Adjustment: An identical concept applies to the headrest depth adjustment. Pull the headrest closer to your head. There are three different stages, each indicated by a [click sound]. To return the headrest to the starting position, pull it up beyond the third position, then push the headrest backward until the [click sound] of the stop is heard.

Angle Adjustment: The headrest can also be adjusted for angle. Grip the headrest and adjust the angle for your optimal personal fit.

Care and Maintenance

• For thorough cleaning, use mild soap and water. Avoid aggressive chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
• Dry the chair thoroughly with a clean, dry cloth to prevent moisture damage and remove dust/dirt.
• Regularly lubricate moving parts, such as casters and adjustment mechanisms, with a suitable lubricant to ensure smooth operation.
• Periodically check all screws, bolts, and other fasteners to ensure they are tight and secure.
• Inspect the chair for signs of wear, such as cracks or broken parts. Please contact customer support if damaged parts are found. Affected parts will be replaced promptly to ensure safety and functionality.
• Do not expose the chair to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, or high humidity to prevent material degradation and loss of function.
• Never clean the gas spring.

Safety Instructions

• Never remove the gas spring. Work on gas springs must only be performed by trained personnel. Do not open or modify the gas spring, as improper work can lead to injury.
• Ensure you follow the assembly instructions precisely, as incorrect assembly can pose a risk of injury.
• Be cautious of pinch points when adjusting the chair. Keep fingers and clothing away from moving parts.
• Place the chair on a flat and stable surface to prevent tipping.
• The office chair should never be used as a ladder.
• Keep children and babies away from the swivel chair to prevent accidents such as tipping or injuries from rolling. Also, never leave pets and children unsupervised near the chair.
• The casters are only suitable for soft floor coverings.
• For safety, it is recommended not to lean too far back, as the chair may tip over. Ensure you maintain balance to prevent accidents and guarantee stable use.
• When no one is sitting on the chair, it has no safety brakes and rolls easily. Be careful when standing up or sitting down to avoid unintentional rolling. Ensure the chair is stable to prevent falls or accidents.
• Caution: Seat height adjustment energy accumulators may only be replaced and repaired by qualified personnel.
