Installation Steps
Step 1: Measure and Prepare Tracks
Measure the width of the shower opening (X and Y). If X is 60" or less, no cutting is needed for the top track (Part 4). If X is greater than 60", cut the top track to length X. If Y is 60" or less, no cutting is needed for the bottom track (Part 12). If Y is greater than 60", cut the bottom track to length Y. The required length for the bottom track (W1) is calculated as Y minus a small adjustment (H) if needed.
Note: You can choose whether to cut according to the actual situation.
Step 2: Attach Bottom Track and Vertical Profiles
Apply silicone sealant to the bottom track (Part 12) and the wall edges where the vertical profiles (Part 1) will be placed. Ensure the bottom track is level (within +/- 0.0). Attach the vertical profiles to the walls using screws (Part 8) and anchors (Part 7). Ensure the profiles are plumb and parallel.
Step 3: Install Top Track
Attach the top track (Part 4) to the vertical profiles (Part 1) using screws (Part 3). Ensure it is level and securely fastened.
Step 4: Install Doors
Attach the roller assemblies (Part 2) to the shower doors. Carefully lift the doors and hook the rollers onto the top track (Part 4). Ensure the doors hang straight and can slide smoothly. Adjust the rollers as needed.
Step 5: Attach Handles and Bottom Seal
Attach the handles (Part 11) to the doors using handle screws (Part 10). Install the rubber strips (Part 14) onto the edges of the glass doors. Spray water on both sides of the glass for easier installation of the rubber strips. Align the bottom of the rubber strip with the bottom of the glass.
Step 6: Secure Doors and Adjust
Use screws (Part 13) to secure the bottom of the doors to the bottom track (Part 12). Ensure the doors are aligned and slide smoothly. Make any necessary adjustments to the rollers and tracks.
Step 7: Final Sealing
Apply silicone sealant to all edges where the shower enclosure meets the walls and the tub/base. This will prevent water leakage. Smooth the sealant with a wet finger or tool.
Step 8: Curing Time
Do not use the shower enclosure for at least 24 hours to allow the silicone sealant to cure fully. Avoid spraying water directly onto the enclosure during this period.
Care and Maintenance
Follow these guidelines to keep your shower enclosure in good condition:
- Use warm soapy water and a soft damp cloth for cleaning.
- Wipe dry with a clean cloth.
- Glass cleaner can be used if necessary.
- Avoid scourers, abrasives, and chemical cleaners as they can damage the glass.
- Regular cleaning will help prevent the buildup of lime scale in hard water areas.
- Do not attempt to cut the glass.
- Do not strike the glass with hard or pointed items.
- Regularly check and tighten moving parts like rollers and hinges.
- Check all sealed joints and re-seal if the seal has deteriorated.
Golden Rules: Regular cleaning combined with periodic maintenance ensures longevity.
