- Locations exposed to smoke or steam.
- Locations subject to salt exposure.
- Locations exposed to rain.
- Dusty or sandy locations.

- Precautions Regarding Placement of this Unit on a Stand: Be sure to follow the instructions in the Owner's Manual when placing this unit on a stand. If it is not set up properly, you risk creating an unstable situation, which may result in injury.
- Do not place the unit in an unstable location. Otherwise, you risk the unit toppling over, resulting in injury.
- Do not allow liquids or foreign objects to enter the unit. Never place containers containing liquids on the unit. Never allow foreign objects (e.g., coins, wires, water, juice) to enter the unit. Doing so may cause short circuits, faulty operation, or other malfunctions.
WARNING
- Turn off the unit if any abnormality or malfunction occurs. In the following cases, turn off the power immediately and contact your dealer, a Roland service center, or an authorized Roland dealer for service:
- If objects have fallen into, or liquid has been spilled onto, the unit.
- If an unusual odor or smoke occurs.
- If the unit has been exposed to rain (or otherwise become wet).
- If the unit does not appear to operate normally or exhibits a marked change in performance.

IMPORTANT NOTES
Placement
- Do not allow lighting devices that are normally used while their light source is very close to the unit (such as a piano light) or powerful spotlights to shine onto the unit for extended periods of time. Excessive heat can discolor or deform the unit.
- When moving the unit from one location to another where the temperature and/or humidity are very different, condensation may form inside the unit (water droplets). Damage or malfunction may result if you attempt to use the unit in this condition. Therefore, before using the unit, you must allow it to stand for several hours until all condensation has completely evaporated.
- Do not paste decals, stickers, or the like onto the instrument. Peeling them off may damage the exterior finish of the instrument.
- Do not place anything else or containers containing liquid on the unit. Also, whenever any liquid has been spilled on the surface of this unit, be sure to wipe it up promptly using a soft, dry cloth.
Maintenance
- To clean the unit, use a soft, dry cloth, or one that is slightly dampened. Try to wipe the entire surface using an equal amount of water and rubbing alcohol, moving the cloth along with the grain of the wood. Rubbing too hard in the same area can damage the finish.
- Never use solvents of any kind, such as benzine, thinners, or alcohol, to avoid the possibility of discoloration or deformation.
- As with any wood-crafted product, some contraction and expansion of the wood can occur depending on the way the unit is used and the environment in which it is used. Over time, this can cause some of the screws to start coming loose. To ensure worry-free, safe use of the unit, you should periodically check the tightness of the screws shown in the illustration. If you find any that are loose, use a screwdriver to tighten them.
