Frame Assembly

Follow these steps to assemble the printer frame:

Frame Assembly Pt. 1

Step 1: Position the front of the Bottom Frame facing you.

Step 2: Take one Aluminum frame piece and place it in a corner of the bottom frame. Align it with the corner. Note the holes at the top of the piece. Use two M5x25 screws and washers to secure it to the bottom frame.

Step 3: Install the remaining two aluminum profiles similarly.

Frame Assembly Pt. 2

Step 1: Ensure the front of the bottom frame is facing you.

Step 2: Place the Top Frame onto all four aluminum frames. Align the pre-drilled holes on the top of the aluminum frames with the holes on the Top Frame. Secure each corner with an M5x25 screw and washer. After tightening the top screws, use four M5x25 screws and washers to attach corner brackets to the Top Frames, aligning with holes on the outer edge of the aluminum frame.

Note: Tighten the four top screws first, then the side screws. Adjust the Y-axis passive block to set the timing belt tightness.

Frame Assembly Pt. 3

Step 1: Ensure the front of the bottom frame is facing you.

Step 2: Place the double Z-axis frame inside the assembled frame. Mount it onto the left and right 2040 aluminum profiles of the top frame, ensuring alignment. With the motor at the bottom, attach the frame to the lower and upper assemblies using M5x30 screws and washers at each corner. The upper and lower assembly extrusions have pre-drilled holes for these screws.

Step 3: After installing the double Z-axis frame, check if the Y-axis moves smoothly. If movement is hindered or the aluminum profile rubs, adjust the eccentric nut and reassemble the Z-axis frame.

Frame Assembly Pt. 4

Step 1: Ensure the front of the base is facing you. Place the hot bed on the support plate of the double Z-axis frame and align it with the profile holes.

Step 2: Use eight M4x10 screws to connect the hot bed to the support plate on the Z-axis frame. Ensure the hot bed is flat and all screws are securely fastened.

Step 3: Pass an M5x8 socket head cap screw through the threaded hole of the metal plate filament bracket. Then, pass an M5 T-nut and gently turn it. Do not tighten yet. Rotate the M5 T-nut installed on the bracket so it is parallel to the aluminum profile groove, and insert it. The M5 T-nut below the bracket should also be parallel to the 2040 aluminum profile groove and inserted. Finally, tighten the screw with an Allen key and turn the M5 T-nut perpendicular to the aluminum profile groove.

Cable Connection

Connect the following cables to the main board:

  • X Motor
  • Y Motor
  • Z Motor
  • E0 Motor
  • E1 Motor
  • Storage card
  • Fans
  • Power supply
  • Nozzle Cable Connection
  • Bed Cable Connection
  • BL Touch Connection (5-pin)
  • Broken filament detecting device Connection (3-pin)

Note: Select the correct input voltage (230V or 115V) to match your local mains.

Screen Information

The printer's touch screen interface provides access to various functions:

  • Main Menu: Print, Temp, Settings, Leveling, Refuel, Moving, Disable motor, Printer info, Language.
  • Sub Menu (Storage Card): Selected file, Adjust (Print speed, Nozzle temp, Hot-bed temp, Cooling, Fan).
  • Sub Menu (Temp): Automatic (PLA/ABS presets), Manual, Cooling, Fan.
  • Sub Menu (Setting): Leveling (AUX leveling, Auto leveling), Refuel, Moving (X-axis, Y-axis, Z-axis, Z home), Disable motor, Language (English/Chinese), Printer info (Machine type, Firmware version, Printing size, website).

The screen displays current temperatures for the Hot Bed and Nozzle, and allows setting target temperatures.

Loading Filament

Follow these methods to load filament:

Method 1: Preheat

Navigate to the 'Temp' menu and select 'PLA' or 'ABS' presets, or manually set temperatures. Then proceed to filament feeding.

Method 2: Manual Setting

In the 'Temp' menu, set the 'Nozzle preheat' and 'Hot-bed preheat' temperatures manually. Then proceed to filament feeding.

Filament Feeding

Press and hold the extruder lever, insert the 1.75mm filament through the filament detector and extruder motor. Continue feeding until filament extrudes from the nozzle.

Tip: How to replace the Filament?

  1. Cut the filament near the extruder and slowly feed the new filament until it is fully inserted.
  2. Preheat the nozzle and quickly withdraw the old filament, then feed the new filament.

Leveling

AUX Leveling

  1. Slightly tighten the four leveling nuts at the bottom of the platform before initial leveling.
  2. Select “Settings” → “Level mode” → “AUX leveling”, then click on the number '2'.
  3. Adjust the platform height using the knob underneath. Use a piece of A4 paper to ensure the nozzle lightly presses on the paper.
  4. Complete adjustment for all four corners.
  5. Click '1' to test the platform height in the middle.
  6. Repeat steps as necessary.

Visual Guide for AUX Leveling:

  • Nozzle too far: Filament does not adhere to the platform.
  • Correct distance: Filament extrudes evenly and sticks to the platform.
  • Nozzle too close: Filament extrusion is insufficient, scraping the platform.

Auto Leveling

  1. In “Settings” → “Leveling mode”, select “Auto leveling”.
  2. Use a 2mm feeler gauge between the nozzle and hot bed. If the gap is too thin or too large, use the “Z+” or “Z–” buttons to adjust the gap to slightly more than 0.2mm. The feeler gauge should pass through the gap with slight resistance.
  3. Restore the hot end to its original home position.
  4. Initiate “Auto-level the printing surface”.
  5. The printer performs a 16-point precise bed height measurement.
  6. The printer will automatically compensate for variable bed height.

Note: When using auto-level, consider adding a raft from the build plate adhesion settings in the software.

Software Installation

Install the Creality Slicer software:

  1. Double-click the installer file to begin the installation process.
  2. Double-click the Creality Slicer icon to open the software.
  3. Follow the on-screen prompts: Select language → Next → Select your machine → Next → Finish.

Preparing to Print

1. Slicing

Insert the storage card into your computer using a reader. Open the Creality Slicer software, load your 3D model file, and wait for the slicing process to complete. Save the generated G-code file to the storage card.

2. Printing

Insert the storage card into the printer. Select 'Print' from the main menu, then choose the file from the storage card to begin printing.
