5.5 Connect Cables
Connect the cables as follows:
- X-axis and Z-axis Motor Ports
- X-axis Limit Switch
- 1. Connect the nozzle assembly to the 24-pin port as shown in the diagram.
- 2. Follow the yellow labels on the 6-pin (4 wires) ports to connect the X-axis and Z-axis stepper motors.
- 3. Connect the X-axis limit switch according to the yellow label on the 3-pin (2 wires) port.
- 4. Connect the 3-pin (3 wires) 2.0 port to the pinboard and the 3-pin (3 wires) 2.54 port to the filament detector.
- 5. Connect the LED light 3-pin (2 wires) 2.54 port to the adapter board's extension port.
(Diagrams show wiring for Filament Detection, LED Light, Z-axis Motor Cable)
Power Input Caution:
Please ensure the correct position of the power switch and power input before connecting to power to avoid damaging the equipment.
- If the mains voltage is between 100V and 120V, please select 115V on the power switch.
- If the mains voltage is between 200V and 240V, please select 230V on the power switch (default is 230V).
6. Automatic Leveling
Use the CR Touch for automatic leveling. If the CR Touch lights up red and leveling fails, please use assisted leveling again.
- Navigate to "Settings" and tap "Leveling" to access the CR Touch leveling interface.
- Tap "Start" and wait for the automatic leveling process to complete.
- Return to the previous menu. Access the assisted leveling interface. Adjust the Z-axis compensation value so that the height from the nozzle to the print platform is approximately the thickness of an A4 paper. Return to the previous menu, and the Z-axis correction value will be configured.
(Description of correct gap: The gap is about the thickness of an A4 sheet, and there is slight resistance when pulling the paper.)
7. Assisted Leveling
Use assisted leveling if the platform tilt is more than 2 mm, causing CR Touch leveling to fail.
- Go to Settings ? Leveling ? Assisted Leveling. Tap the numbers (representing adjustments)
[up arrow]
/ [down arrow]
. - Rotate the knob at the bottom of the hotbed and move the nozzle to the four corners of the print platform. Ensure the gap between the nozzle and the print platform is nearly the thickness of an A4 sheet (0.08 to 0.1 mm). Verify all four corners are leveled.
(Diagram descriptions:
- Nozzle too far from platform: Filament cannot adhere to the platform.
- Correct gap: Filament is extruded evenly and adheres to the platform correctly.
- Nozzle too close to platform: Filament is under-extruded, which may damage the platform.)
8. Loading Filament
- A. Please cut the end of the filament at a 45-degree angle to ensure successful loading.
- B. Push the filament until it passes through the filament detection hole. Then, press and hold the extruder lever to feed the filament into the extruder hole until it reaches the nozzle.
- C. Heat the nozzle. If filament flows out of the nozzle when the temperature reaches the set point, the filament is loaded correctly.
Replacing Filament:
- If the printer is not printing:
- A. Heat the nozzle to 185°C or higher and wait for the filament in the nozzle to soften. Then, press and hold the extrusion lever and quickly pull the filament out to prevent clogging in the heat break.
- B. Place the new filament on the rack and repeat the steps in Section 8: Loading Filament.
- If the printer is printing:
- A. Pause the print job. After the printer stops, press and hold the extrusion lever and quickly pull the filament out to prevent it from clogging in the heat break.
- B. Place the new filament on the rack and feed it through the filament detector. Press and hold the extrusion lever to feed the filament into the nozzle. Then, push the filament to extrude the remaining filament in the nozzle and clean the nozzle before resuming printing.

10. Start Printing
Please re-check the printer before printing by following these steps:
When the printer is off:
- 1. The nozzle is firmly connected and moves smoothly left and right.
- 2. The X-axis is horizontal and stable (does not wobble up or down), and it moves smoothly up and down.
- 3. The Y-axis is firmly connected. The platform does not wobble and moves smoothly back and forth.
- 4. The filament rack does not wobble. The rollers are smooth. Filament extrusion is smooth.
When the printer is on:
- 1. The display screen and touch interface function correctly. The movements of the X, Y, and Z axes are smooth.
- 2. The nozzle and hotbed heat up properly.
- 3. The filament forward and backward movement works correctly.
- 4. The printer's leveling functions properly.
Tap "Print". Select the file.
