Installation Spacing
Recessed Area or Closet Installation
Diagram illustrating recommended spacing for installing the washer in a recessed area or closet. It shows clearances for the sides, top, and front, as well as ventilation openings required for the closet door.
The dimensions shown are recommended clearances, except for the closet door ventilation openings, which are minimum requirements. This washer has been tested for installation with 0" (0 mm) clearance on the sides. Consider allowing more space for ease of installation and servicing, as well as for companion appliances and clearances for walls, doors, and floor moldings. Add 1" (25 mm) spacing on all sides of the washer to reduce noise transfer. If a closet door or louvered door is installed, top and bottom air openings in the door are required.
