Features
The VIOFO HK3-C Hardwire Kit provides continuous power to the dashcam for its parking recording function. It features ACC detection, which automatically switches the dash camera to parking mode when the vehicle engine is turned off, and resumes normal recording when the engine is turned back on. The Low Voltage Cut-off function protects the car battery from excessive discharge.
- Accepts voltage from 12-24V.
- Offers 4 options for voltage cut-off to prevent battery drain.
- ACC Detection: Automatically switches to parking mode.
- Provides constant power supply.
- Compatible with VIOFO A139 Dash Camera.
Power Cut-off Settings
Before installation, ensure parking mode options are set in the camera settings. The VIOFO HK3-C Hardwire kit will power the dash cam in parking mode until the car battery voltage drops to the configured value or a timer expires. (Set the parking recording timer using the VIOFO APP.)
Note: It is suggested that the Hardwire Kit be installed by professionals.

Installation Steps
Ensure the vehicle engine and accessory power are off before proceeding.
1. Locate Your Fuse Box
Fuse boxes and types vary by car model, year, and variant. Consult your vehicle's Car Manual to find the fuse box location and confirm fuse types.
2. Identify ACC & Battery Fuses
Battery Wire (RED)
To identify the battery connection fuse, turn the ignition switch to the lock position. Look for a fuse that remains live (allows electricity flow) even when the ignition is off. A fuse/circuit/voltage tester can help; place the tester's tip on the exposed metal part of the fuse when the engine is off.
ACC Wire (YELLOW)
To identify the ACC connection fuse, turn the ignition switch to the ACC (Accessory) position. Look for a fuse that is live when the ignition is in the ACC position but off when the ignition is in the off position.
3. Locate a Ground Point
Use a circuit tester in continuity mode to find a suitable ground point. Locate a screw with direct connection to the vehicle body. Check for good continuity (less than 0.1 ohm) between the screw and the vehicle body.
4. Connect an Add-A-Fuse Kit
Use an Add-A-Fuse kit (sold separately) for a clean installation. Once the required fuse slot and type are determined, crimp a suitable Add-A-Fuse kit to the hardwire kit's ACC and BATT connections using a standard crimp tool or needle-nose pliers.
Note: Fuse boxes and types vary. Check your Car Manual for fuse box location and type confirmation.
5. Connect the Fuses
- Yellow (ACC): Connect to a fuse that turns on/off with the engine.
- Red (Battery): Connect to a fuse that is always powered. Ensure connection is made after passing through the fuse.
- Black (Ground): Place the spade connector under the head of a ground point screw or bolt. Ensure clean electrical contact and tighten the screw securely.
Test the Dash Cam
After connecting the power and ground wires (Red, Yellow, Black), plug the hardwire kit into the camera. Start the vehicle to verify functionality. Also, check the camera's parking mode settings in the VIOFO app.
Note: Test the hardwire kit and camera functionality before neatly securing cables behind vehicle trim, as this makes troubleshooting easier if wires are accessible.
