To Remove: Ensure the camera is off. Push the edge of the memory card with your fingernail; it will spring out for removal.
Note: The microSD card is sold separately and must be Class-10 or UHS-I rated, up to 512GB. VIOFO recommends its industrial-grade microSD cards. The card must be formatted before first use (exFAT or FAT32). Turn off the camera before inserting or removing the card to prevent data corruption.
Format the Memory Card
Memory cards must be formatted before first use. This can be done via the VIOFO App (Settings > Format) or by long-pressing the [Format Button] on the camera. Alternatively, format the card on a computer using the exFAT or FAT32 file system. A GUIFormat tool is available on the VIOFO website for deep formatting.
Note: Formatting the card erases all data; back up important files first. Periodic formatting is recommended for optimal performance.

- Mount the camera close to the rearview mirror for an equal field of view on both sides.
- Position the camera lens within the windshield wiper's sweeping range for a clear view on rainy days.
- Do not install or mount the camera or cables near or within the range of airbag panels. The manufacturer is not liable for injuries caused by airbag deployment.
- Ensure the installation location is not affected by sun control film (window tint) and that no other electronic equipment is placed too close to the camera for optimal performance.
Remove Cameras

Parking Mode
The dashcam offers three parking mode options for surveillance when the engine is off, typically requiring a hardwire kit for continuous power:
- Auto Event Detection: Records video when motion is detected and stops when no new movement occurs.
- Time Lapse Recording: Records at low frame rates (1-10 fps), conserving memory and allowing continuous recording without audio.
- Low Bitrate Recording: Records video and audio at a low bitrate, using small file sizes for continuous recording.
Note: VIOFO recommends the HK4 ACC hardwire kit for parking mode. In hot weather (above 60°C), consider turning off the dashcam to prevent errors.
