Setting Up Your SOS Smartwatch

Stay protected and wear your device daily. Charge it up at night.

  1. Connect the charging cable: Insert the micro USB into the docking cradle and the standard USB into the power supply. Plug into a power outlet.
  2. Dock the device: Place the SOS Smartwatch onto the cradle with the SOS button facing up. The device will turn on and announce, "Your device is now charging."

NOTE: Charging may take up to 6 hours. During charging, an LED light on the docking cradle will display RED. Once fully charged, the light changes to GREEN.

Battery Life

The SOS Smartwatch can last up to 1 day from a full battery charge.

NOTE: Low cell coverage and how often the device is activated (e.g., false alarms, shake-to-wake) will affect battery power.

It is advised to only charge the device when deemed necessary. Although the device can be charged daily, this practice is not recommended.

If removed from the cradle too soon, the device will announce, "Watch not fully charged."

Turn On Device

If the device is fully off, hold the Home Button for a few seconds to switch it on.

[Image: SOS Smartwatch showing 'Hold for 5 seconds SOS'.]

When the "Cancel" option appears, you have an additional 5 seconds to cancel the alert.

If not canceled, the device will announce, "Calling for help. You may release the button."

NOTE: If you tap the Cancel button, the call will end and return to the Home Screen.

[Image: SOS Smartwatch displaying 'Calling...'.]

Next, the screen will display, "Dialing...". You will hear ringing until it connects.

[Image: SOS Smartwatch displaying 'Dialing...'.]

Finally, the screen will display, "Connected." A dispatcher will speak through the device to ascertain the medical alert user's status.

How Auto Fall Detection Works

The feature activates after a sudden, downward movement, followed by 30 seconds of no movement. If possible, the medical alert user should always press SOS.

NOTE: If the medical alert user promptly resumes movement after a fall, the Fall Detection functionality will not be triggered.

After a fall, if there is no movement for 30 seconds, the watch will announce, "Have you fallen?"

Tapping 'CANCEL' will end the Fall Detection sensor and return the watch to the Home Screen.

Tapping 'HELP' will force a call to the Monitoring Center.

[Image: SOS Smartwatch showing 'Fall Detected', 'Did you fall?', 'Cancel', and 'Help' options.]

NOTE: The signal is NOT received by the Monitoring Center if you select ‘CANCEL.’

The status bar will continue to progress. After 10 seconds, if no selection is made, the watch will automatically place a call to the Monitoring Center.

[Image: SOS Smartwatch showing a progress bar for 'Fall Detected'.]

The screen will then display, "Connected."

[Image: SOS Smartwatch displaying 'Calling...' and 'Connecting...'.]

The signal has been received, and the medical alert user is now in the queue for the next available representative. A dispatcher will speak through the device.
