First Time Use
Setting Menu
To set up the dishwasher:
- Switch on the appliance by pressing the ON-OFF button.
- Hold the Settings (Half Load) button for 3 seconds until a beep is heard and "SEt" appears on the display.
- The first setting (letter "h") will be displayed after one second.
- Press PREVIOUS/NEXT to scroll through settings, then START/Pause to view and change the value.
- Press PREVIOUS/NEXT to change the value, then START/Pause to save and return to the main menu.
- Repeat steps 4 and 5 for other settings.
- Press ON-OFF or wait 30 seconds to exit the menu.
Settings include Water Hardness Level (default 3), Rinse Aid Level (default 2), NaturalDry (default 1), and Sound (default 1). A "Factory Settings" option allows restoring all settings to default.
Filling the Salt Reservoir
Salt prevents limescale buildup on dishes and the machine. The reservoir is under the lower rack. It must never be empty. Salt is needed when the SALT REFILL indicator light is lit.
- Remove the lower rack and unscrew the reservoir cap (anticlockwise).
- Fill the reservoir with salt using the funnel until full (approx. 0.5 kg). Some water leakage is normal.
- For the first use only, fill the salt reservoir with water.
- Remove the funnel and wipe away any salt residue. Ensure the cap is tightly screwed to prevent detergent from entering the water softener.
- Run a program after refilling salt to prevent corrosion.
Setting the water hardness is crucial for the water softener's performance. Obtain your home's water hardness from your local supplier. The factory setting is "3". Use only dishwasher-specific salt.
Level | °dH (German degrees) | °fH (French degrees) | °Clark (English degrees) |
---|---|---|---|
1 (soft) | 0-6 | 0-10 | 0-7 |
2 (medium) | 7-11 | 11-20 | 8-14 |
3 (average) | 12-16 | 21-29 | 15-20 |
4 (hard) | 17-34 | 30-60 | 21-42 |
5 (very hard) | 35-50 | 61-90 | 43-62 |
The water softener automatically reduces water hardness to prevent scale buildup and improve cleaning. It regenerates using salt, requiring refills when empty. Regeneration frequency depends on the hardness setting (e.g., once per 4-6 Eco cycles at hardness level 3). A single regeneration uses ~3L water, adds up to 5 minutes to the cycle, and consumes less than 0.005 kWh.
Filling the Rinse Aid Dispenser
Rinse aid improves drying. Fill dispenser A when the RINSE AID REFILL indicator light is lit.
- Open dispenser B by pulling the tab on the lid.
- Pour rinse aid (max. 110 ml), avoiding overflow. Clean spills immediately.
- Press lid down until it clicks shut. Never pour rinse aid directly into the tub.
Adjust rinse aid dosage in the "SETTING MENU" if drying results are unsatisfactory. Level 0 means no rinse aid is dispensed. A maximum of 6 levels is available. Low levels (0-3) are for bluish streaks; mid-range levels (4-5) are for water drops or limescale marks.
Filling the Detergent Dispenser
Use opening device C to open dispenser D. Introduce detergent into the dry dispenser only. Pre-wash detergent can be placed directly in the tub. Follow dosing indications inside dispenser D. Remove residues and close the cover. Close the lid securely. The dispenser opens automatically during the cycle. Using non-dishwasher detergent may cause damage.
Daily Use
- Check Water Connection: Ensure the dishwasher is connected to the water supply and the tap is open.
- Switch On: Press the ON/OFF button.
- Load Racks: Refer to "LOADING THE RACKS".
- Fill Detergent Dispenser: Add detergent.
- Choose Program and Customize Cycle: Select the most appropriate program based on crockery type and soiling level using PREVIOUS/NEXT buttons. Select desired options (not all are compatible).

- End of Wash Cycle: Indicated by sound and "END" on the display. Switch off the appliance using ON/OFF and open the door. Wait a few minutes before unloading to avoid burns. Unload from the bottom rack first.
Modifying a Running Program
If a program was recently started, press and hold ON/OFF for over 3 seconds to reset. Wait for the drain cycle (approx. 1 minute). Switch on again, select a new program and options, then press START/Pause.
Adding Extra Crockery
Without switching off, slightly open the door to avoid splashing (START/Pause LED blinks). Add crockery, close the door, and press START/Pause to resume the cycle.
Accidental Interruptions
If the door is opened or power is cut during a cycle, it stops. Closing the door and pressing START/Pause resumes the cycle.
Advice and Tips
Tips
Before loading, remove food residues and empty glasses. Rinsing beforehand is not necessary. Arrange crockery firmly so it doesn't tip. Place containers with openings facing down and tilted to allow water access and drainage. Ensure lids, handles, and trays do not obstruct spray arms. Place small items in the cutlery basket. Heavily soiled dishes should go in the lower basket for stronger water spray. Check that spray arms can rotate freely after loading.
Tips on Energy Saving
Using the dishwasher according to instructions typically consumes less energy and water than hand washing. For maximum efficiency, run the dishwasher when fully loaded. Partial loads can use dedicated options (Half load, Zone Wash, etc.). Incorrect loading can increase resource usage and reduce performance. Manual pre-rinsing is not recommended.
Unsuitable Crockery
Avoid washing wooden items, delicately decorated or antique glasses/crockery, synthetic parts sensitive to high temperatures, copper and tin items, and crockery soiled with ash, wax, grease, or ink. Colors on glass and metal may fade, and some glass types may become opaque over time.
Damage to Glass and Crockery
Only use dishwasher-safe items. Use a delicate detergent for porcelain. Remove glasses and cutlery promptly after the wash cycle.
Hygiene
To prevent odors and sediment, run a high-temperature program monthly with a teaspoon of detergent without loading.
Resistance to Frost
If the appliance is in a frost-prone area, drain it completely. Turn off the water tap, remove hoses, and drain all water. Ensure the water softener is full of dissolved regeneration salt to protect against temperatures down to -20°C. If stored in frost conditions, allow the appliance to reach at least 5°C for 24 hours before first use.

Loading the Racks
Cutlery Rack
The third rack is designed for cutlery. Arrange items individually for better washing and drying. Place knives and sharp utensils with blades downwards. The rack has sliding side trays to accommodate taller items in the upper rack.
Upper Rack
For delicate and light items like glasses, cups, and saucers. Features tip-up supports that can be vertical for saucers or lower for bowls. The rack height can be adjusted (lift sides without pressing levers) to accommodate taller items in the lower rack or maximize space upwards. Do not adjust height when loaded, and never adjust on one side only.
Foldable Flaps
Side foldable flaps adjust to optimize crockery arrangement. They securely hold wine glasses by their stems. Flaps can be unfolded by sliding up and rotating, or folded by rotating and sliding down.
Lower Rack
For pots, lids, plates, and cutlery. Place large plates and lids at the sides to avoid spray arm interference. Tip-up supports can be used vertically for plates or horizontally for pans and bowls.
Power Clean®
Utilizes special rear water jets for intensive cleaning of heavily soiled items. The lower rack has a "Space Zone" pull-out support for upright pans. For Power Clean®, face pots/casseroles towards the component and activate the function. Fold down rear plate holders to load pots, then place them vertically, inclined towards the water jets.
Care and Maintenance
Cleaning the Filter Assembly
Regularly clean the filter assembly to prevent clogging and ensure proper water drainage. Clogged filters can cause malfunction, reduced performance, noise, or increased resource usage. The assembly has three filters: cylindrical (A), cup (B), and plate (C). Clean monthly or every 30 cycles under running water with a non-metallic brush. Ensure filters are correctly reinstalled. Never remove the pump protection.
Cleaning the Spray Arms
Food residue can clog spray arm holes. Periodically clean arms with a small non-metallic brush. The lower spray arm is removed by pulling upwards and rotating anti-clockwise. The upper spray arm is removed by pressing up and rotating anti-clockwise. Reassembly is the reverse.
