Filling the Salt Reservoir

Salt prevents limescale formation. The reservoir is in the lower part, under the lower rack on the left. Ensure it is never empty and water hardness is set correctly. Refill when the SALT REFILL indicator light ? is lit.

  1. Remove the lower rack and unscrew the reservoir cap (anticlockwise).
  2. Position the funnel and fill the salt reservoir to its edge (approx. 0.5 kg). Some water leakage is normal.
  3. For the first use only: fill the salt reservoir with water.
  4. Remove the funnel and wipe away any salt residue. Ensure the cap is tightly screwed to prevent detergent from entering the water softener, which could cause irreparable damage.

Important: Always complete salt refilling before starting a wash cycle to avoid corrosion. Using salt is recommended with any dishwasher detergent.

Setting the Water Hardness

Set water hardness based on your local water supplier's information for optimal water softener performance. The factory setting is "3".

Water Hardness Table
Level °dH (German degrees) °fH (French degrees) °Clark (English degrees)
1 (Soft)0 - 60 - 100 - 7
2 (Medium)7 - 1111 - 208 - 14
3 (Average)12 - 1621 - 2915 - 20
4 (Hard)17 - 3430 - 6021 - 42
5 (Very hard)35 - 5061 - 9043 - 62

Use only salt specifically designed for dishwashers. Refilling salt turns off the indicator light ?. Failure to refill salt can damage the water softener and heating element.

Water Softening System

The water softener reduces water hardness to prevent scale buildup on the heater and improve cleaning efficiency. It regenerates using salt. Regeneration frequency depends on the water hardness setting (e.g., once per 4-6 Eco cycles for level 3). Each regeneration uses ~3 L of water and takes up to 5 additional minutes.

Filling the Rinse Aid Dispenser

Rinse aid aids drying. Fill the dispenser (A) when the RINSE AID REFILL indicator light ? is lit.

  1. Open dispenser (B) by pulling the tab on the lid.
  2. Pour rinse aid (max. 110 ml), avoiding overflow. Clean spills immediately.
  3. Press the lid down until it clicks shut.

Never pour rinse aid directly into the appliance tub.

Adjusting Rinse Aid Dosage

Adjust dosage via the SETTING MENU if drying results are not satisfactory. Setting to ZERO means no rinse aid is supplied. A maximum of 6 levels are available.

  • Bluish streaks: set a low number (0-3).
  • Water drops or limescale marks: set a mid-range number (4-5).

Filling the Detergent Dispenser

Use only dishwasher-specific detergent. Do NOT use washing-up liquid. Excessive detergent can cause foam residues. Using non-dishwasher detergent may cause malfunction or damage.

For best results, use detergent, rinse aid, and salt. We recommend phosphate- and chlorine-free detergents for environmental reasons.

Dosage: For normally soiled items, use approx. 35g (powder) or 35ml (liquid). Add an extra teaspoon directly into the tub. For lightly soiled items or pre-rinsed dishes, reduce the amount (min. 25g/ml) or skip the tub detergent. Tablets: one tablet is sufficient.

Open dispenser (C) and place detergent into the dry dispenser (D) only. Pre-wash detergent can be placed directly in the tub.

  1. Refer to dispenser markings for dosing.
  2. Remove detergent residues from dispenser edges and close the cover until it clicks.
  3. Close the dispenser lid securely.

The dispenser opens automatically during the cycle. Using non-dishwasher detergent may cause malfunction or damage.

Daily Use

  1. Check Water Connection: Ensure the dishwasher is connected to the water supply and the tap is open.
  2. Switch On: Open the door and press the ON/OFF button.
  3. Load Racks: Refer to "LOADING THE RACKS".
  4. Fill Detergent Dispenser.
  5. Choose Program & Customize: Select the most appropriate program using PREVIOUS ⬅️/NEXT ➡️ buttons. Select desired options. Not all options are compatible with all programs.
  6. Start: Press START/Pause ▶️/⏸️ (light on) and close the door within 4 seconds. A beep indicates the program start. If the door isn't closed within 4 seconds, an alarm sounds. Re-press START/Pause ▶️/⏸️ and close the door within 4 seconds.
  7. End of Wash Cycle: Indicated by sound and "END" on the display. Open the door, press ON/OFF. Wait a few minutes before unloading to avoid burns. Unload starting with the lower rack.

The machine switches off automatically during periods of inactivity to save energy.

Modifying a Running Program

If a wrong program was selected, reset the machine by holding ON/OFF for over 3 seconds. The display shows "0:01". Close the door, wait for the drain cycle (~1 min). Open the door, switch on, select the new program and options. Press START/Pause ▶️/⏸️ and close the door within 4 seconds.

Adding Extra Crockery

Without switching off, open the door slightly (START/Pause light ? blinks) to avoid splashing (Caution: hot steam!). Add crockery. Press START/Pause ▶️/⏸️ and close the door within 4 seconds; the cycle will resume.

Accidental Interruptions

If the door is opened or there's a power cut, the cycle stops. Press START/Pause ▶️/⏸️ and close the door within 4 seconds to resume.

Advice and Tips

Tips for Loading

Remove food residues from crockery and empty glasses before loading. Pre-rinsing is not necessary. Arrange crockery firmly so it doesn't tip. Place containers with openings facing downwards and concave/convex parts obliquely for water flow. Ensure lids, handles, and pans do not obstruct sprayer arms. Place small items in the cutlery basket. Heavily soiled dishes and pans should go in the lower basket for stronger water sprays. Ensure sprayer arms can rotate freely after loading.

Unsuitable Crockery

  • Wooden crockery and cutlery.
  • Delicately decorated glasses, artistic handicrafts, and antique crockery (decorations may not be resistant).
  • Synthetic parts not resistant to high temperatures.
  • Copper and tin crockery.
  • Crockery soiled with ash, wax, lubricating grease, or ink.

Colors of glass decorations and aluminum/silver pieces may change. Some glass types (e.g., crystal) can become opaque.

Damage to Glass and Crockery

  • Only use glasses and porcelain guaranteed dishwasher-safe by the manufacturer.
  • Use a delicate detergent suitable for crockery.
  • Collect glasses and cutlery as soon as the wash cycle is over.

Tips on Energy Saving

  • Dishwashers typically consume less energy and water than hand washing when used according to instructions.
  • Initiate wash cycles only when the dishwasher is fully loaded for maximum efficiency.
  • Use specific options (Half Load/Zone Wash/Multizone) for partial loads.
  • Incorrect loading or overloading increases resource usage and reduces performance.
  • Manual pre-rinsing increases water and energy consumption and is not recommended.

Hygiene

To avoid odors and sediment, run a high-temperature program (e.g., Self-Clean) at least once a month with a teaspoon of detergent, without loading.

Resistance to Frost

If placed in freezing conditions, drain completely. Run the Self-Clean cycle to drain the water tank. Turn off the water tap, remove hoses, and let water drain. Ensure the water softener is full of dissolved regeneration salt to protect against temperatures down to -20°C. If stored in frost conditions, allow the appliance to reach at least 5°C for 24 hours before first use.

Options can be selected/deselected by pressing the corresponding button (indicator light illuminates). If an option is incompatible with a program, its LED flashes rapidly 3 times and beeps; the option will not be enabled. Options may change program time, water, or energy consumption.

  • POWER CLEAN™: Provides intensive wash in the lower rack with additional power jets, recommended for pots and casseroles.
  • HALF LOAD: Saves water, electricity, or time for fewer dishes. Reduce detergent amount accordingly.
  • EXTRA DRY: Higher temperature during final rinse and extended drying phase for improved drying. Lengthens the wash cycle.
  • DELAY: Program start can be delayed from 0:30 to 24 hours. Press DELAY repeatedly. Press START/Pause ▶️/⏸️ to start the countdown. The function cannot be set once a program has started.
  • TIME ON THE FLOOR: A LED light projected on the floor indicates time left to the end of the cycle. The light turns off when the door is opened or the cycle ends. Can be deactivated in the "SETTINGS MENU".
  • NaturalDry: Convection drying system that automatically opens the door during/after the drying phase for exceptional drying performance. The door opens at a safe temperature for kitchen furniture. A steam protection foil is included. Can be deactivated in the "SETTINGS MENU".
  • SENSING: Detects soil level (animation on display for ~20 min), updating cycle duration. Present for all cycles (except Eco).
  • WATER TAP CLOSED ?: Alarm flashes when there is no inlet water or the tap is closed.
  • FAVOURITE PROGRAM: Save and easily access a preferred program by finding it with PREVIOUS ⬅️/NEXT ➡️ and pressing the FAVOURITE button for 3 seconds.
  • DESCALE ⚠️: Alarm indicates limescale accumulation. Check Water Hardness Setting and salt presence. Use a descaling product (WPro recommended) with the Self-Clean program. If not addressed, performance deteriorates, and the appliance may block, allowing only the Self-Clean program. Full descaling will unblock it. May require descaling twice for heavy buildup.
  • CYCLE COUNTER: Shows the number of cycles performed. Numbers 0-999 display fixed. Numbers >1000 scroll (e.g., 1.000 = 1_000). The dishwasher may have performed ~30 cycles from production quality checks.

Care and Maintenance

Attention: Always unplug the appliance before cleaning or maintenance. Do not use flammable liquids.

Cleaning the Dishwasher

Internal marks can be removed with a cloth dampened with water and vinegar. External surfaces and the control panel can be cleaned with a damp, non-abrasive cloth. Do not use solvents or abrasive products.

Preventing Unpleasant Odours

Keep the door ajar to prevent moisture buildup. Clean door seals and detergent dispensers regularly with a damp sponge to prevent food trapping.

Checking the Water Supply Hose

Regularly check the inlet hose for brittleness and cracks. If damaged, replace it. If the hose has a transparent coating, check for local color intensification indicating a potential leak. For water stop hoses, check the safety valve inspection window; if red, the hose must be replaced. Press the release button while unscrewing.

Cleaning the Water Inlet Hose

If hoses are new or unused for a long time, run water through them to clear impurities before connecting to prevent blockages.

Cleaning the Filter Assembly

Clean the filter assembly regularly to prevent clogging and ensure proper wastewater flow. Clogged filters or foreign objects can cause malfunction, reduced performance, noise, or increased resource usage.

The filter assembly has three parts: cylindrical filter (A), cup filter (B), and stainless-steel plate filter (C).

  1. Turn cylindrical filter (A) anticlockwise and pull it out. Ensure triangles align on reinstallation.
  2. Remove cup filter (B) by pressing side flaps.
  3. Slide out stainless-steel plate filter (C).
  4. Carefully remove any foreign objects (e.g., broken glass, bones).
  5. Inspect the trap and remove food residues. NEVER remove the wash-cycle pump protection.

Reinstall the filter assembly correctly for efficient operation.

Cleaning the Spray Arms

Food residue can block spray arm holes. Check and clean arms periodically with a small non-metallic brush.

  • The top rack has a fixed wash tube; slide the rack out and use tweezers to remove items lodged in nozzles.
  • The lower spray arm can be removed by pulling upwards and rotating anticlockwise. Reassemble by pushing down and rotating clockwise.
  • The upper spray arm can be removed by pressing up and rotating anticlockwise. Reassemble by pulling upwards and rotating clockwise.
