Getting Started
Power
To Turn On: Press the power key for one second until the LED flashes green.
To Turn Off: Press and hold the power key for three seconds until the LED flashes red.
Note: The Brydge 11 MAX+ features Instant-On™, allowing for quick reconnection. Once paired, your keyboard connects instantly to your iPad for up to 4 hours before entering sleep mode without impacting power consumption.
Pairing
To Pair: Press and hold the Bluetooth™ key for three seconds until the LED flashes blue. On your iPad, navigate to Settings > Bluetooth™ and select "Brydge 11 MAX+". When successfully paired, the blue LED will turn off, and your keyboard and trackpad will be active.
Update Firmware
Download the Brydge Connect app from the App Store for the latest firmware updates.
Settings
AssistiveTouch settings must be turned OFF for trackpad gestures to function correctly. To disable: Go to iPad Settings > Accessibility > Touch > AssistiveTouch and set it to OFF.
Trackpad Gestures
- Open Today View: Use two fingers to swipe right.
- Zoom In and Out: Pinch open with two fingers to zoom in, or pinch closed to zoom out.
- Switch Between Open Apps: Swipe left or right with three fingers.
- Open the App Switcher: Swipe up with three fingers, pausing before lifting your fingers.
- Scroll Up or Down: Swipe two fingers up or down.
- Scroll Left or Right: Swipe two fingers left or right.
- Go Home: Use one finger to swipe the pointer from the bottom edge of the screen upwards.
- Open Control Center: Use one finger to swipe from the top-right corner of the screen.
- Open Search: Swipe down with two fingers.
Inserting and Removing iPad
To Insert:
Place your Brydge on a flat surface and open the case. Position your iPad in the bottom of the case, leaning it towards the back. Magnets will secure it in place.
To Remove:
Place your Brydge on a flat surface. Use the tabs located on either side of the case to release the iPad.
Charging
Check Battery Life:
In Today View, navigate to the BATTERIES section. If it's not visible, swipe left from your Home Screen to reveal Today View, scroll to the bottom, click "Edit," find "Batteries," and click the green "+" icon to add it.
Note: If battery life drops below 15%, backlit key functionality will be disabled to conserve power.
To Charge:
Connect the charging cable to the keyboard and plug the other end into a power source. A solid red LED indicates the Brydge is charging. The red LED will turn off when fully charged. A full charge may take up to three hours.
