Description
The Kinan LS1901 is a 19-inch rackmount LCD console that integrates the video, keyboard, and mouse into a 1U rack space. It is designed for installation in a standard 19-inch server rack and allows control of one computer from a complete keyboard, video, and mouse control unit.

Appearance
The console features a 19-inch display, keyboard, and touchpad. The overall dimensions are 448mm (width) x 505mm (depth) x 42.5mm (height).

Front View
The front view of the console includes:
- 1. LCD Display: The 19-inch screen.
- 3. OSD Controls: Buttons for menu navigation and settings.
- 7. Handle: For pulling the console out of the rack.
- 8. Lock Latch: Secures the console in the rack.
- 9. Display Panel: The screen assembly.
- 5. Keyboard: The integrated keyboard.
- 6. Touchpad: The integrated pointing device.
- 2. Rear Bracket Slot: For attaching mounting brackets.
- 4. Front Bracket: Part of the rack mounting mechanism.
Figure 1-2 front view illustrates these components.
Rear View
The rear view of the console includes:
- 1. Grounding Screw: For electrical grounding.
- 2. Power Input Socket (AC or DC): For connecting the power supply (100-240Vac, 50-60Hz).
- 3. Power Switch: To turn the unit on or off.
- 4. PC port: A single port for integrated VGA, keyboard, and mouse signals.

Cable Connection
The console connects to a computer or server via a KVM cable. A power cord connects to the power input socket. The diagram illustrates a typical 1-4 cable connection.
For optimal signal integrity and simplified cable management, it is recommended to use high-quality cables of appropriate lengths.
Rack Mounting
A standard rack mounting kit is provided for installing the console in server racks with depths ranging from 500mm to 717mm.
- For 500-525 mm depth racks, use L=62mm brackets.
- For 702-717 mm depth racks, use L=262mm brackets.
Installation involves one person holding the console while another slides the L-shaped brackets into the console's side mounting brackets from the front to the back, and then securing the brackets to the rack.

Opening the Console
- Power on the KVM console after connecting all cables.
- Power on the server or PC after the KVM console is powered on.
- Release the release catch to unlock the console. The release catch allows horizontal locking only and cannot bear any load.
- Pull the KVM console out completely; the slide rail will automatically lock into place.
- Rotate the LED panel back to expose the LED screen. The LED module can be rotated up to 108 degrees.

Figure 2-4 open angel of the console illustrates the screen's rotation capability, supporting a best resolution of 1280x1024@60Hz.
Closing the Console
- Close the console; the power will automatically shut down.
- Push the release catch in the direction of the arrow.
- Push the LED panel all the way in until it automatically locks up.

OSD Controls
The console features OSD (On-Screen Display) controls for managing settings.
Figure 3-1 OSD controls displays the control panel with the following buttons:

MENU SELECT | Opens the menu function and brings up the main menu. |
EXIT/AUTO | Press this button to exit the current menu and return to the previous menu or exit the LED OSD. Press AUTO for automatic configuration. |
SL-/SL+ | Moves the menu selection for corresponding adjustments. |
LED state | Indicates the status: Green: running; Red: power off or access nonstandard VESA signal; Flash green: energy saving mode or no signal. |

Note on AUTO Configuration: When the screen display changes after power-on or in other circumstances, pressing AUTO will automatically configure the screen to its best display state. If the display mode is not a standard VESA mode, the adjustment might not be optimal. In such cases, navigate to the OSD menu and select RESET to restore normal settings.
It is recommended to set the display mode to 1280x1024 resolution with a 60Hz refresh rate.
