Overview
The MH2404 is a 4-port multiviewer KVM switch with a USB 2.0 Hub. It allows users to monitor multiple computer sources from a single monitor, keyboard, and mouse. Users can directly switch and control servers displayed on the screen via the keyboard, instantly updating the image and improving work efficiency for real-time monitoring.
The MH2404 supports high-quality video resolutions up to 4K (3840 x 2160 @ 60 Hz) and offers Quad-View and Full-Screen modes. In Quad-View mode, users can switch to another source by simply moving the mouse to that screen.
The MH2404 supports cascading and daisy-chain modes. In cascading mode, users can manage up to 16 servers, with their images displayed simultaneously in a 4x4 multi-view mode on the Master device.
The MH2404 is designed for simplicity and speed, working upon cable connection. It obtains keyboard and mouse signals directly, requiring no software installation and avoiding complex compatibility issues. Its rich and diversified functions make it ideal for applications requiring real-time monitoring, such as aviation, finance, gaming, and medical fields, enhancing work efficiency and reducing tedious operations.

Rear View

Installation
To prevent damage from power surges or static electricity, ensure all connected devices are properly grounded. Turn off the power to all connected devices before installation. Unplug power cords of computers with the Keyboard Power On function.
Installation Diagram
Follow these steps for installation:
- Connect the monitor, USB keyboard, and mouse to the output ports of the KVM switch.
- Connect the HDMI signal cable, USB cable, and audio cable from each PC/Server to the corresponding KVM input ports.
- Connect the power cord to the KVM power socket.
- Turn on the power of the computers, then use the front-panel buttons or hotkeys to switch between modes and computers.
- If using separate speakers, plug them into the control audio jack on the equipment. If the display has built-in speakers and supports audio through HDMI, a separate speaker is not needed.
- Insert USB peripherals into the USB ports.
For optimal signal integrity and a simplified layout, high-quality customized cable sets are recommended and can be purchased from your dealer.
Cascading
To set up a cascade installation, ensure all devices are powered off. Then:
- Connect the equipped USB cable and HDMI cable from the Master device's CONSOLE ports to Slave 1's HDMI and USB 2.0 ports.
- Connect the Master and Slave 1 using an Ethernet cable to any RJ45 port of the RS485 interface.
- Turn all DIP switches (1-5) on the Master unit to the UP position.
- Connect Slave 2, Slave 3, and Slave 4 in the same manner as Slave 1.
Daisy Chain Installation Diagram
To set up a daisy-chain installation, ensure all devices are powered off. Then:
- Device 1: Connect an Ethernet cable to any RJ45 port of the RS485 interface on Device 1. Set the DIP switches to code 1.
- Device 2: Connect an Ethernet cable to any RJ45 port of the RS485 interface on Device 2. Set the DIP switches to code 2.
- Device 3: Connect an Ethernet cable to any RJ45 port of the RS485 interface on Device 3. Set the DIP switches to code 3.
- Device 4: Connect an Ethernet cable to any RJ45 port of the RS485 interface on Device 4. Set the DIP switches to code 4.
This setup allows the Master device to manage up to 16 PCs (4 PCs per slave device).
Usage
Front-panel Pushbutton
The front panel features:
- Ports 1-4: Pushbuttons to switch freely to ports 1-4. The currently selected port is indicated by a green LED.
- Quad-view Button: Toggles between Quad-view and single-view modes.
- SET Button: Used for upgrading the port functionality.
- CODE ID DIP Switch: Used for cascade dialing connection.
- RS485 Ports: Used for cascade connections.
- KEY Port: Connects a professional numeric keyboard.
Hot Key Operation
Hot key commands are initiated by pressing the Left Control (L_Ctrl) key twice, followed by the function key.

Mouse Switching
In Quad-view mode, double-clicking the middle mouse button exits Quad-view and switches to single-view mode. In single-view mode, double-clicking the middle mouse button exits single-view mode and switches to Quad-view mode.
PS/2 Professional Numerical Keyboard Switching (Optional)
The KVM switch supports switching using a PS/2 professional numerical keyboard. The keyboard can be used for port selection and mode selection.
