Fitting the Brackets
Standard Finish
The brackets offer three methods of installation:
- Top-Fixing: [Diagram Description: A bracket is shown being screwed into a ceiling surface.]
- Face-Fixing: [Diagram Description: A bracket is shown being screwed into a vertical wall surface.]
- Side-Fixing: [Diagram Description: A bracket is shown being screwed into the side of a window frame or recess.]
Top Tip
Top-fixing or face-fixing are recommended for most installations, whereas side-fixing is only recommended if the width you gave us was taken right at the top of the recess.
Cassette Finish
The brackets offer two methods of installation:
- Top-Fixing: [Diagram Description: A bracket designed for cassette blinds is shown being screwed into a ceiling.]
- Face-Fixing: [Diagram Description: A bracket designed for cassette blinds is shown being screwed into a vertical wall.]
[Diagram Description: A horizontal line segment representing the blind rail, with markings indicating a 5cm distance from each end.]For cassette finish, note that the position of the outermost brackets should be at least 5cm away from the ends of the rail, with any other brackets evenly distributed across the width.
Fitting the Blind
Standard Finish
[Diagram Description: An illustration shows the end of the blind roller without the control mechanism (pin-end) being inserted into the central hole of a wall-mounted bracket.]Locate the pin-end (the opposite end to the controls) of the blind into the central hole in the corresponding bracket.
[Diagram Description: An illustration shows the other end of the blind roller (control-end) being lifted and its rectangular 'lugs' being slotted into corresponding slots on a wall-mounted bracket.]Lift the control end of the blind and slot the rectangular 'lugs' into the corresponding slots on the bracket.
Cassette Finish
[Diagram Description: An illustration shows the cassette being held at an angle to the bracket, with a specific 'lip' on the cassette aligning with a 'hook' on the front of the bracket.]To fit the cassette into the bracket, hold the cassette at an angle and locate the central 'lip' along the top of the cassette, onto the front 'hook' of the bracket.
[Diagram Description: An illustration shows the back of the cassette being pushed upwards into the bracket until it securely 'snaps' into place.]Now raise the back of the cassette up and push up firmly into the brackets until you hear them 'snap' into place.
For SmartView Roller Blinds
Once your blind is installed, we recommend plugging in the motor to allow it to fully charge before use. [Diagram Description: An illustration of the roller blind motor unit with a charging cable plugged into its port. A small indicator light on the charger plug is shown as green.]Plug the charging cable (included) into the motor charging port and allow to charge until the LED on the charger plug turns green.
On the front of the swing tag that comes with your blind, you'll find a handy QR code you can scan with your phone. Scan this to download the SmartView app - you'll be setting up your blinds in moments! Follow the instructions in the app, then flip this label to find the blind ID to add this blind.
Additional Information
Control Location (not applicable for cassette finish)
[Diagram Description: A simplified diagram of a roller blind tube showing the control cord exiting from one side. An arrow suggests the possibility of swapping the control side.]We will have positioned the controls where you requested during the ordering process. However, if you decide to swap the side that they are on, direction of the roll, or need to trim the blind further, the controls can be removed by simply unplugging them from the tube. This should be done prior to fixing the brackets.
