Download and Account Setup
Download the Nedis SmartLife app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
Create Account
Select your country code, then enter your full national phone number or email address. Request a verification code, enter it, and set your password.
Adding Devices
Standard Mode
- Tap "+" on the top right corner. A list of potential products will appear.
- Select the device type you want to add.
- Activate the device by plugging it in or connecting its battery.
- Ensure the indication LED (or lighting device) flashes quickly (as shown in the app example). Tap the button to confirm.
- If the light is not flashing quickly, hold the reset button (or switch the bulb off and on 3 times) until it flashes.
- Confirm your phone is connected to the Wi-Fi network for the device, enter the Wi-Fi password, and confirm.
- The device will be searched. Ensure your phone and the device are close to the router for optimal reception.
- Once found and added, rename the product for easy recognition.
If the above method fails (due to network instability or protection), add the device using AP mode:
AP Mode
- Tap "+" on the top right corner. A list of potential products will appear.
- Select the device type you want to add.
- Hold the reset button (or switch the bulb off and on 3 times) until the indication LED (or lighting device) flashes SLOWLY.
- If the light is flashing quickly, reset again by holding the reset button for about 5 seconds or switching the light off and on 3 times.
- Confirm the Wi-Fi network for the device, enter the Wi-Fi password, and confirm.
- Connect your phone to the device's Wi-Fi hotspot (e.g., "SmartLife_xxxx").
- Return to the Nedis SmartLife application to continue installation.
- If prompted, confirm staying connected to the Wi-Fi network without internet access.
- The device will receive instructions to connect to your existing Wi-Fi network. Ensure your phone and device are close to the router for optimal reception.
- Once found and added, rename the product for easy recognition.
Voice Assistant Integration
Connecting to Amazon Alexa
(Required for first-time use with Amazon Alexa)
- An official Alexa device and Amazon Alexa account are required.
- Open the Amazon Alexa App on your smartphone and log in.
- Open the menu by tapping the upper left corner.
- Go to Skills.
- Search for "Smart Life" and tap Enable.
- You will be redirected to a login page. Confirm your country/region and enter your Nedis SmartLife account credentials. Confirm you are using the SmartLife app.
- Authorize Amazon to use your profile and connect with your products.
- After successful linking, close the window and return to the Amazon Alexa app home screen to add your smart product(s).
Adding Products to Amazon Alexa
- After installing new products in the SmartLife app, ask "Alexa, discover devices" or open the Amazon Alexa app menu, go to Smart Home, and tap "+ Add Device".
- Within approximately 20 seconds, products will be added to the Alexa product list and can be controlled via Amazon Alexa.
Connecting to Google Home / Google Assistant
(Required for first-time use with Google Home)
- Hold the home button to start Google Assistant.
- Tap the compass icon ? in the upper right corner to explore Assistant's functionality.
- Open the menu in the upper right corner and go to Settings.
- Open "Home Control".
- Tap "+" to add products.
- Search for "Smart Life" to add this skill.
- Confirm your country code and enter your Nedis SmartLife account name and password.
- Confirm you are using the SmartLife app.
- Authorize Google to use your profile and connect with your products.
- Installed products, scenes, and automations will be linked automatically. You can assign a room to each product.
Adding Products to Google Home / Google Assistant
- After installing new products or creating scenes/automations in the SmartLife app, ask Google Assistant to "Sync devices" to control them via Google Home.
Nedis SmartLife App Interface
My Family (Main Screen)
The main screen displays your devices and home status.
Key Elements:
- 1. My Home: Tap to select or manage different locations (e.g., home, office). Options include changing Name, Rooms, Location, Device sharing, and adding family members.
- 2. "+": Tap to add new products (refer to device adding instructions).
- 3. Weather Information: Displays estimated weather based on your set home location.
- 4. Scenes: Shows created scenes. Scenes can be configured to display on the first page.
- 5. Rooms: Filter products by assigned rooms for quick access.
- 6. Room Management: Tap the cog icon ⚙️ to add or edit rooms. You can choose predefined rooms or create custom names and assign/unassign products. Unassigned products remain under "All Devices".
- 7. All Installed Products/Groups: Displays all added devices. Tap a product tile to access its specific page.
- 8. Main Navigation:
- My family: Access products.
- Smart: Access Scenes and Automations.
- Profile: Access personal profile and general app settings.
Smart (Scenes and Automations)
This section is for viewing and creating scenes and automations.
Key Elements:
- 1. Edit: Tap to move or remove scenes/automations. Reorder by sliding vertically; delete by sliding left and tapping "Delete".
- 2. "+": Tap to add new scenes or automations.
- 3. Scenes: All created scenes are listed and can be activated by tapping. A scene is a shortcut for multiple preset actions. You can set:
- Name (for main screen and voice assistants).
- Image (choose from preset images).
- Unlimited number of actions (including enabling/disabling automations).
- Option to show/hide on the first page.
- An edit button is available on the bottom right of each scene tile.
- 4. Automations: All created automations are listed. An automation triggers one or more actions based on events. You can set:
- Name (for main screen and voice assistants).
- Image (choose from preset images).
- Type of conditions (for combining triggers): "When ALL conditions are met" or "When ANY of the conditions are met".
- Actual conditions can include: notifications from sensors/detectors/cameras, product states, specific times of day, sunrise/sunset, or weather conditions.
- Conditions can be removed by sliding left and tapping "Delete".
- Actions to be executed can include: activating a scene, enabling/disabling another automation, switching a product on/off, or setting lighting parameters (mode, brightness, temperature).
Common Product Interface Features

Schedule
- Add timing for recurring behavior.
- Set the specific time for the product to switch on/off.
- Indicate the days of the week for repetition.
- Set whether to switch the device on or off.
- Tap "Save" in the top right corner.
Timer
- Add a countdown timer for the product to switch on/off (set in hours and minutes).
- The timer can be overridden by manually switching the product.
Statistics
- View actual usage (Current, Power, Voltage).
- View monthly usage.
- Daily usage is shown after a month is selected.
Product Menu
Tap the button in the top right corner on the product page for menu options:
- Change product name (used by voice assistants).
- Set device sharing to grant access to others (requires adding family members).
- Create groups to control multiple similar products simultaneously.
Cameras Only:
- Basic feature settings: status indicator, watermark, audio mode, flip image (for ceiling cameras).
- Sound detection: enable/disable and set sensitivity.
- Motion detection: enable/disable and set sensitivity.
- Storage: monitor or format.
Profile and FAQ
Profile
View and set basic profile information:
- Home management: Add or edit locations.
- Message center: View notifications from cameras, sensors, or detectors.
- Scan QR code: For emergency use only.
- Feedback: Submit feedback (positive and negative).
- Settings:
- Enable/disable in-app notification sounds.
- Enable/disable app message notifications.
- Integration: Find instructions for connecting to Amazon Alexa or Google Home.
- About: Rate the app, find version information, and manually check for updates.
- Empty cache memory to free up disk space (may temporarily slow interaction).
