FLEX customers can choose between these two specialized machines depending on the intended application: the eccentric sander with a 3 mm stroke for fine sanding, e.g., intermediate and filler sanding, or a 5 mm stroke for higher power when sanding wood, drywall, or metal.

The new FLEX ORE 150 18-EC cordless orbital sanders are perfect for sanding painted surfaces, wood, drywall, putty, and also for use on metal. The machines excel on sensitive surfaces, such as painted wood surfaces or in the automotive industry. They are also ideal for putty and paint sanding, as well as processing exotic hardwoods.

Flexible Use

The electronics in the two new models provide four-stage variable speed for material-specific work, constant speed control with a tachogenerator, and soft start.

Thanks to these versatile and sophisticated features, the new FLEX ORE 150 18-EC cordless orbital sanders are optimal for a variety of applications, from drywall construction and painting to carpentry and the automotive industry. Explanation of Unit Designations: ORE stands for 'Orbital Random Electronics', followed by the stroke length (3 mm or 5 mm) and disc size (150 mm), plus '18-EC' for 18 V battery technology with a brushless motor.

Professional Ergonomics Thanks to Compact Handling

With the ORE models, FLEX offers particularly lightweight and ergonomically optimized 18 V cordless single-hand sanders. Thanks to their compact size and low weight, both machines are also ideal for overhead work. The battery placement near the center of gravity also provides optimal balance, making steering significantly easier. The specially balanced construction and the ergonomically designed handle with soft grip inserts make work gentle on the joints, vibration-dampening, and reduce user fatigue.

Furthermore, the slightly angled pad contributes to greater dimensional stability. The beveled pad geometry provides effective edge protection and allows for precise work even in difficult positions. Ralf Paertmann, Product Manager at FLEX, emphasizes this: 'With the low installation height, you are close to the surface, which offers enormous advantages, especially for vertical surfaces.'

Dust-Free and Efficient for Perfect Work Results

Thanks to precise hole placement and Velcro fastening, the FLEX Velcro Multihole Pad ensures optimal attachment of the abrasive material, resulting in a uniform and clean sanding pattern. The multi-hole pad with Velcro provides excellent dust extraction and is suitable for all common abrasives.

The dust generated is efficiently and completely extracted either via the extraction connection with an interchangeable adapter or via the integrated dust bag. A dust-tight rubber seal also protects the internal components.

LongLife Disc Brake System

Another highlight is the LongLife disc brake system, which prevents the sanding disc from continuing to spin, thereby avoiding sanding marks. Costly rework is now a thing of the past.

Powerful and Maintenance-Free Brushless Motors

The new FLEX 18 V cordless orbital sanders ORE 150 18-EC are equipped with state-of-the-art brushless EC motors characterized by particularly high efficiency, long service life, and low vibrations. They deliver up to 30 percent more power and up to ten times longer service life compared to conventional brushed motors. Thanks to this technology, performance remains consistently high even during extended periods of use.

Longer Run Times Thanks to FLEX Battery Technology

FLEX 18 V cordless sanders are compatible with both 2.5 Ah and 5.0 Ah batteries. The proven Therma-Tech™ system significantly extends battery life, while the battery status indicator always provides information on the current charge level. This means FLEX currently offers the best range of 18 V batteries on the market, including the fastest charging technology.

FLEX Safety Features

All new FLEX cordless sanders feature an E-trigger with a quick-stop function and intelligent PCB monitoring for overload protection and constant speed. This not only maximizes safety during operation but also significantly extends the machines' service life.
