Add Smart Plug to your Smart Home Platform

The Smart Plug can be controlled by various smart home hubs, software systems, and smart speakers. Follow the steps for your desired platform.

HomeSeer (HS4 Software, HomeTrollers)

  1. Launch your HomeSeer system. Install and enable the Tuya plugin.
  2. Navigate to the Tuya plugin menu and select "Authorize". This links the plugin to your Tuya account using your established credentials.
  3. Navigate to the Tuya plugin menu again and select "Manage Devices". A list of devices added to the TuyaSmart app should appear. If not, click the "READ TUYA DEVICES" button.
  4. Select all desired devices using the checkboxes and click the "CREATE HOMSEER DEVICES" button to create HomeSeer devices for your Smart Plugs and other Tuya-compatible products.

By default, each HomeSeer Smart Plug device includes a switch feature for on/off control and additional features to track the plug's state, current, power, and voltage.

Note: HomeSeer systems natively support Alexa and Google Home integration. If you are using HomeSeer, you can skip the next section.

Alexa or Google Home (for Non-HomeSeer systems)

  1. In the TuyaSmart app, select the Smart Plug device and tap "Edit".
  2. In the "Third Party Control" section, tap "Alexa" or "Google Assistant". You will be prompted to sign into your Alexa or Google Home account, linking these accounts to your TuyaSmart account for device discovery and linking.

Non-HomeSeer Systems

If you are using a non-HomeSeer platform, follow the specific procedure required for adding Tuya-compatible devices to your system.
