The approval is valid as long as the VDE specifications are in force, unless withdrawn according to the VDE Testing and Certification Procedure (PM102E). The validity period may be prolonged on request. Changes in legal or normative requirements may shorten the validity period.

Products containing the biocide dimethylfumarate (DMF) are not to be marketed or made available on the EC market according to Commission Decision 2009/251/EC.
