IKEA PAX Wardrobe Assembly Instructions
Introduction & Tools
This document provides assembly instructions for the IKEA PAX wardrobe system. Ensure you have the necessary tools before starting:
- Screwdriver (Phillips head and flathead)
- Spirit level
- Stepladder
- Allen key (included)
Safety First: It is recommended to have two people for handling larger components. Avoid dropping or damaging parts.
Hardware & Components
Identify all parts and hardware before assembly. Quantities and part numbers are listed below:
Hardware:
- Allen key (1x, part 10095216)
- Screws: 4x (part 109590), 2x (part 114667), 16x (part 110438), 12x (part 10055702), 16x (part 10059666), 16x (part 10059649), 16x (part 10067213)
- Fittings: 2x (part 10055207), 2x (part 10054922), 2x (part 10055041), 2x (part 10055037)
Tracks & Other Components:
- Tracks/Rails: 1x (part 10109642), 2x (part 10109643), 1x (part 10055716), 2x (part 10109733), 1x (part 10109742), 1x (part 10109743), 2x (part 10111126), 2x (part 10111137), 2x (part 10111140), 2x (part 10111141), 2x (part 10100795), 2x (part 10100772), 2x (part 10100796), 1x (part 10055763)
- Glass panels (implied): 2x
Assembly Steps
Step 1
Attach the top and bottom horizontal frame pieces to the vertical side panels. Ensure correct orientation.
Step 2
Secure the main frame structure using screws. Two attachment points are shown, each requiring one screw (part 114667). A warning symbol ⚠️ indicates caution is needed.
Step 3
Attach the upper and lower sliding door tracks to the top and bottom horizontal frame pieces.
Step 4
Attach fittings (e.g., part 10055041, 10055037) to the side panels using screws.
Step 5
Attach fittings (e.g., part 10055207, 10054922) to the top horizontal piece using screws.
Step 6
Insert the sliding door bottom guide into the bottom track. A hand icon [hand] indicates pushing the guide into place. A warning symbol ⚠️ indicates not to force it or damage the track.
Step 7
Attach the bottom guide fittings to the frame using screws.
Step 8
Attach fittings to the frame using screws.
Step 9
Assemble the sliding door frame by connecting horizontal and vertical pieces, securing them with fittings and screws.
Step 10
Attach fittings (e.g., part 10067213) to the assembled sliding door frame using screws.
Step 11
Attach fittings (e.g., part 10067213) to the sliding door frame using screws.
Step 12
Attach fittings to the sliding door frame.
Step 13
Hang the first sliding door onto the top track. The diagram shows hooking the door onto the track and then securing it at the bottom.
Step 14
Insert the bottom guide into the door and secure it with a "Click!".
Step 15
Insert the second sliding door into the top track and secure its bottom guide with a "Click!".
Step 16
Attach door handles or guides to the doors. A hand icon [hand] indicates securing a component with a rotating motion.
Step 17
Attach fittings (e.g., part 10100795, 10100772, 10100796) to the top of the wardrobe frame.
Step 18
Insert the sliding doors into the top track. A hand icon [hand] guides the door. A warning symbol ⚠️ indicates to avoid pinching fingers.
Step 19
Secure the bottom of the sliding doors using fittings and screws. A hand icon [hand] shows pushing the fitting into place, followed by securing it.
Step 20
Insert shelves into the wardrobe. A hand icon [hand] guides a shelf into place with a rotating motion.
Step 21
Insert shelves into the wardrobe. Multiple shelves are shown being inserted with rotating motions.
Step 22
Assemble the sliding door frame by connecting horizontal and vertical pieces, securing them with fittings and screws.

Attach fittings (e.g., part 10067213) to the assembled sliding door frame using screws.
