Sena SMH5-FM Quick Start Guide

Installation

Attach the headset to your helmet.

Connect the speakers and microphone.

Button Operation
- Tap: Short press
- Double Tap: Press twice quickly
- Press and Hold (5s): Press and hold for 5 seconds
- Press and Hold (8s): Press and hold for 8 seconds
- Jog Dial: Rotate the dial
- Jog Dial + Press: Rotate the dial while pressing

Power On/Off & Battery Check
- Power On: Press and hold the Jog Dial for 1 second.
- Power Off: Press and hold the Jog Dial for 1 second.
- Battery Check: Tap the Jog Dial. The status LED will indicate the battery level (Green: 70-100%, Blue: 30-70%, Red: 0-30%).

Volume Adjust
Rotate the Jog Dial to adjust the volume.

Mobile Phone
- Answer Call: Tap the Jog Dial.
- End Call: Tap the Jog Dial.
- Reject Call: Press and hold the Jog Dial for 1 second.
- Redial Last Number: Tap the Phone Button twice.
- Voice Command: Press and hold the Phone Button for 2 seconds.
- Call Transfer: Tap the Jog Dial while on a call.

Phone VOX Setting
- Enable VOX: Press and hold the Phone Button for 8 seconds.
- Disable VOX: Press and hold the Phone Button for 8 seconds.

Music
- Play/Pause: Tap the Jog Dial.
- Next Track: Rotate the Jog Dial clockwise.
- Previous Track: Rotate the Jog Dial counter-clockwise.

Bluetooth Pairing (Phone, MP3, GPS)
- Turn on Bluetooth on your device.
- Select "Sena SMH5-FM" from the list of available devices.
- Enter "0000" for the PIN if prompted.

Headset Pairing Intercom
Pairing with another headset:
- Turn on both headsets.
- Press and hold the Jog Dial on both headsets for 5 seconds until the status LED blinks blue and red.
- Tap the Jog Dial on one headset. The headsets will pair automatically.

Start Intercom
- 1st Intercom Friend: Tap the Jog Dial.
- 2nd Intercom Friend: Double Tap the Jog Dial.
- 3rd Intercom Friend: Triple Tap the Jog Dial.

Multiple Headset Pairing
Last Come, First Served: The headset will automatically connect to the last paired intercom friend.

End Intercom
Tap the Jog Dial to end an intercom conversation.

Factory Reset
Press and hold the Phone Button for 12 seconds. The status LED will blink blue and red, then turn solid blue. Tap the Jog Dial to confirm the reset.

Radio On/Off
- Turn Radio On: Press and hold the Phone Button for 2 seconds.
- Turn Radio Off: Press and hold the Phone Button for 2 seconds.

Radio Seek Stations
- Seek Up: Rotate the Jog Dial clockwise.
- Seek Down: Rotate the Jog Dial counter-clockwise.
- Scan Up FM Band: Tap the Phone Button twice.
- Stop Scanning: Tap the Phone Button.
- Save to preset while scanning: Tap the Phone Button.

Radio Save or Delete Preset
- Save: Tap the Phone Button.
- Delete: Tap the Phone Button twice.
