Integrated Security Solution with Schlage AD Series Locks

Combining AD-400/401 Wireless and AD-300/301 Hardwired Devices with PremiSys™ by IDenticard

Overview

Schlage AD Series locks seamlessly integrate with PremiSys™ by IDenticard to provide a cost effective and scalable access control solution to meet your security needs.

Schlage AD Series locks combine the components typically found around the door, such as the door position switch and the request to exit switch, into one unit which simplifies installation and saves money. And since they are designed to be modular, Schlage AD Series locks can easily be upgraded in the future to meet your changing security and technology requirements.

The AD Series is available in both hardwired and wireless configurations to suit the requirements of the facility. AD Series wireless locks provide many of the key benefits of a hardwired system including real-time monitoring, audit trails, centralized lockdown and instant access control management. In retrofit applications the Schlage AD Series wireless locks and devices, which eliminate the need to run wires direct to each opening, can help you extend the reach of your access control system.

AD-401 and AD-301 FIPS 201-1 compliant solutions available using FMK reader. Existing AD-300 and AD-400 locks can be upgraded to FIPS compliant solutions by replacing existing reader with new FMK reader. Please contact IDenticard to confirm they will be able to support your FIPS 201 credential format.

System Capabilities Summary

System Architecture

AD-400/401 via RS-485 with PremiSys™ and the IP Controller (PREM-CTLRIP)

The IP Controller supports up to 64 doors across 2 RS-485 lines. Each connected PIM400-485 can support 16 wireless devices. Each connected PIM400-TD2 can support up to 2 wireless devices. Wireless range is up to 200' in typical building construction, with a 1000' clear line of sight.

Diagram Description: PremiSys™ (Version 2.15a or higher, Ethernet) connects to PREM-CTLRIP (Version 1.18.8 or greater). The PREM-CTLRIP uses RS-485 communication to connect to a PIM400-485 Panel Interface Module, which communicates wirelessly via 900 MHz to AD-400/401 Wireless devices. Alternatively, the PREM-CTLRIP connects to a PIM400-TD2 Panel Interface Module, also communicating wirelessly via 900 MHz to AD-400/401 Wireless devices. Interface modules such as MR-52, MR-50, EP-1502 can connect to the PREM-CTLRIP using Wiegand or Clock and Data protocols.

Note: Although not specifically shown, both AD-300s and AD-400s can be managed on a common port.

AD-300/301 via RS-485 with PremiSys™ and the IP Controller (PREM-CTLRIP)

The PREM-CTLRIP supports a maximum of 16 AD Series locks across up to 2 RS-485 ports. Each connected PIB300-2D can support up to 2 wired devices.

Diagram Description: PremiSys™ (Version 2.15a or higher, Ethernet) connects to PREM-CTLRIP (Version 1.18.8 or greater). The PREM-CTLRIP uses RS-485 communication to connect to a PIB300-2D x RLBD Panel Interface Module, which communicates via RS-485 to AD-300/301 Hardwired devices. Interface modules such as MR-52, MR-50, EP-1502 can connect to the PREM-CTLRIP using Wiegand or Clock and Data protocols.

Note: Although not specifically shown, both AD-300s and AD-400s can be managed on a common port.
