This parallel kit is designed for use with GENMAX inverter generators and supports operation with 50A parallel kits.
⚠️ WARNING: Operating a generator can be dangerous if used improperly. Always refer to the owner's manual for safe and proper operation of the generator.
Installation and Operation Steps
- Ensure both engine switches are in the OFF position.
- Confirm that the Low Idle switches on both generators are turned OFF.
- Connect the black and red parallel cable leads to the corresponding black parallel ports on each inverter's control panel. Crucially: DO NOT connect two red leads or two black leads into the same inverter.
- Attach the ground terminal (green wire) from each end of the parallel cable to the corresponding ground terminal on each generator. Connect and tighten the ground wire securely.
- Start each generator. Verify that the green output indicator light is illuminated on both units.
- If utilizing the Low Idle mode, turn both Low Idle switches ON after the generators have been started.
- To shut down the system, turn off both generators first, and then disconnect the parallel cords.
ℹ️ NOTICE: If high electrical loads are connected, set the Low Idle switch to the OFF position. This action helps to reduce voltage fluctuations.
After starting the generators, confirm that both green output indicator lights are ON. If either light is not illuminated, turn the generators OFF, restart them, and ensure both green output lights are ON.
Control Panel Port Identification
The parallel kit cables connect to specific ports on the generator control panels. The following ports are typically available for connection:
- Round Connector (Black)
- Ground Connectors (Ring)
- Square Connector (Black)
- Connectors (Red)
- Connectors (Red)
- Square Connector (Black)
- Round Connector (Black)
- Ground Connectors (Ring)
