Audio Authority Model 1522 and 1525 AV Customer Station Installation
These units are video Customer Stations with similar features. Notably, the Model 1525 has an integrated armored cable handset mounted to the right side. The 1525 can be mounted on the left side, the bottom, or from the back. The 1522 does not have a handset and can therefore be mounted on the left or right side, the bottom, or from the back.
Installation
- Decide which surface will be used to mount the A/V Customer Station. Using the included template, carefully remove the knockouts with a hammer and screwdriver; dress the holes with a utility knife if necessary.
- Run the Cat 5 cable and the power supply cable from the Hub or Counter Station through the hole made in Step 1.
- Loosen four screws to open the front panel. Connect the Cat 5 cable from the hub to the HUB jack located in the lower right hand corner of the circuit board on the back wall of the unit.
- Connect the power supply cable to the DC POWER jack located on the small circuit board in the upper left corner of the Customer Station cabinet. Connect the power supply to a source of 100-260 volts AC.
- Secure the unit to the mounting surface using the screws provided. Close the front panel and tighten four screws.
Mounting Options
The document provides diagrams illustrating various mounting configurations. These include templates for left side mounting and right side mounting on a front surface, showing designated wiring holes and screw points. A back mounting option is also detailed, indicating wiring holes and screw points, with a specification for a maximum drill size of 3/16 inches.
