Clear CMOS Jumper

Component Installation
CPU Installation
To correctly install the CPU, align the LGA1156 CPU with the motherboard socket. The CPU surface has starting points and a golden triangle indicator which signifies Pin 1. (Diagram 2-7)

Memory Installation
Install DDR3 DIMMs by:
- Pulling the clips on both ends of the memory slot outwards.
- Aligning the memory module with the slot's notch to ensure correct orientation.
- Pressing down on the memory module until the slot clips automatically engage.

Graphics Card Installation
Install a graphics card into the PCI Express x16 slot:
- Remove the corresponding expansion slot cover and screws from the computer case.
- Open the retention clip on the PCI Express slot.
- Align the graphics card with the slot and press firmly until it is seated.
- The retention clip should automatically lock the card in place.
- Secure the graphics card to the case with screws.
- Connect the necessary power cables to the graphics card.

Intel Chipset Information Installation
- Run "Control Panel" -> "System" -> "Hardware" -> "Device Manager".
- Right-click on the hardware device requiring a driver update.
- Select "Update Driver".
- Choose "Do not connect to Internet" and then "Manually install".
- Browse to the directory containing the driver files.
- Select "Next Step" to proceed.
Audio Driver Installation
Before installing audio drivers, identify the audio chip model on the motherboard (refer to this manual). Select the appropriate driver for installation.
3.1 Audio Driver Installation (Example: HD Audio Series)
- Run the installer from the directory: `/P55 SOUND CARD DRIVER/VISTA-WIN7-R267`. For XP, use `WDW-267`.
- Click "Next" to continue, then "Finished".
- The system will restart to complete the installation.
3.2 Uninstallation of Audio Driver (Example: HD Audio Series)
- On the Windows desktop, go to "Settings" -> "Control Panel".
- Select "Add/Remove Programs".
- Find and select "Realtek High Definition Audio Driver".
- Click "Add/Remove" to uninstall the driver.
4. Driver Installation of External Video Card
- Run the driver installer (e.g., `Setup.exe`).
- Click "Next" -> "Yes" -> "Next" -> "Next" -> "Finished".
- The system will automatically search for devices to complete the installation.
Network Driver Installation

- Run the installer from the directory: `P55 LAN DRIVER/WIN7 XP`.
- Click "Next" -> "Installation" -> "Finished".
- Restart the computer. The system will automatically search for devices to complete the installation.
BIOS Settings
The CMOS SETUP stores system data in CMOS SRAM. The motherboard battery provides power to CMOS SRAM when the computer is off. Upon startup, press the "Delete" key (or "F7" for warm boot) to enter the AMI BIOS CMOS SETUP main page.
Menu Navigation: Pay attention to menu options. When there is a triangle symbol (▶) on the left side of a menu item, it indicates a sub-menu will appear.
