Safety Precautions

Please observe the following safety guidelines to ensure successful computer assembly and prevent damage:

  • Electrostatic Discharge (ESD): Components can be damaged by ESD. Discharge your body static by touching metal objects before handling the motherboard.
  • Component Connection: Ensure all components are firmly connected. Loose connections may lead to failure in recognizing components or starting the computer.
  • Handling: Hold the motherboard by its edges. Avoid touching sensitive components. Store the motherboard in an anti-static container or on an anti-static pad when not in use.
  • Assembly Environment: Before powering on, ensure all internal parts are securely connected without loose screws or metal components.
  • Power Off: Always switch off the power and unplug the power cable from the socket before installation or disassembly.
  • Moisture: Keep the motherboard away from moisture.
  • Troubleshooting: If the motherboard does not work as expected, or if it has been exposed to liquid, moisture, or physical damage, contact a service technician.
  • User Manual: Keep this user manual for future reference.

Installation and Settings

Follow these steps for installing components and configuring settings.

Clear CMOS Jumper

Locate the Clear CMOS jumper (often labeled CLR_CMOS) to reset BIOS settings to default values. Typically involves moving a jumper cap.

Front Panel Connectors (F_PANEL1)

Connect the system power switch, reset switch, HDD LED, and Power LED to the corresponding pins on the F_PANEL1 header. Pinouts are provided for Power SW, Reset SW, HDD LED, and Power LED.

Front Audio Output Ports

Connect the front panel audio jacks (microphone and headphone) to the front audio header. Pinouts include MIC+, Ground, Vbias, AVCC, R_Out, R_Out Back, L_Out, L_Out Back.

USB Expansion Ports

Connect front panel USB devices to the USB headers. Pinouts include VCC, D-, D+, GND, N.C, and KEY.

CPU Installation

To install the CPU, align the golden triangle on the CPU with the corresponding mark (Pin 1 indicator) on the LGA1150 socket. Ensure correct orientation before lowering the CPU and securing the retention arm.

M.2 Interface Installation

Install M.2 modules by first securing the screw base, then inserting the M.2 module at a 30-degree angle into the M.2 slot, and finally securing it with the screw.

Memory Installation

To install RAM, open the clips on both ends of the DIMM slot. Align the notch on the RAM module with the protrusion in the slot. Press down firmly on both ends until the clips snap into place.

SATA Interface

Connect SATA storage devices (SSDs, HDDs) to the SATA3.0 and SATA2.0 ports.
