Introduction to Hardware of Z2600

Device Interface

The Zidoo Z2600 is equipped with audio and video input & output ports and data transmission ports. Please refer to the descriptions in this manual.

1. Front Panel

The front panel features:

  • LED Display
  • IR Receiver
  • Power Button (switch)
  • Cover
  • 4K HDR, HDMI, DTS, Dolby Vision, Dolby Audio support indicators
  • HDD Bay (slide-out)
  • USB 2.0 ports
  • Restore USB 2.0 port

3. Back Panel

The back panel includes:

  • Power Switch (ON/OFF)
  • Cooling Fan
  • CVBS (Video Out)
  • USB 2.0 port
  • IR IN (Infrared Input)
  • L/R Channels (RCA Audio)
  • USB 3.0 port
  • GIGABIT LAN (Ethernet)
  • HDMI OUT (Main)
  • HDMI OUT (Audio Only)
  • RS232 port

Notes:

  • Load/change the hard disk only when the device is powered off. If it's a new hard disk, format it before loading.
  • Do not block the cooling fan vents.
  • Avoid contact with liquids to prevent damage.
  • Only authorized personnel should open the case.

Load the Hard Disk

The Z2600 supports 3.5-inch hard drives in its HDD Bay with a high-speed SATA transmission port. The hard disk can be loaded by pushing it in by hand. The maximum supported hard disk size is 14 TB.

Note: Do not load or change the hard disk while the power is on to avoid damage to the device or hard drive data. If it is a brand-new hard disk, please format it before loading it to the device. This device supports hard disk formats: EXT3, EXT4, NTFS, FAT32, EXFAT.

Device Connection

1. Connect HDMI Cable to TV

The Z2600 offers two HDMI connection methods:

a) Stand-up Output Mode (Single Output):

Ensure both the TV and Media Player are powered off. Connect one end of the HDMI cable to the device's HDMI OUT (Main) port and the other end to the TV's HDMI IN port.

b) Double Output Mode (Audio and Video Separate Output):

Ensure both the TV and Media Player are powered off. Connect one HDMI cable from the device's HDMI OUT AUDIO ONLY port to an amplifier. Then, connect another HDMI cable from the device's HDMI OUT MAIN port to the TV. This mode is suitable for setups where the amplifier does not support 4K or 3D, but the display device does.

2. Connect AV Cable to TV

The connection method is the same as connecting an HDMI cable.

3. Connect with the Power

This device has a built-in power supply. Connect the provided AC power adapter to the device's AC power input port. Then, plug the adapter into a 110V-240V power socket and turn on the power switch.

4. Power On

Press the power button on the front panel of the device or use the power button on the remote control to turn it on. Then, turn on the TV.

5. Select Corresponding Video Source

On the TV, select the correct video source (e.g., HDMI 1, HDMI 2, HDMI 3, AV).

Boot Initialization Wizard

Before using the machine formally, the system will perform the initial setup. Please set according to devices and requirements to get the best visual experience.

1. System language selection, screen zoom, time zone setting

System Language Selection:

Choose the system language according to your language habit.

Screen Zoom:

Press the UP and DOWN buttons on the remote control to adjust the screen display area.

Time Zone Setting:

Select the time zone for the system according to your location.

2. Bluetooth Match-Up

Align the remote controller with the media player. Press and hold the Page-Down KEY and Menu KEY simultaneously for at least 5 seconds until the indicator light blinks. The light will turn off after successful matching.

3. Network Setting

Configure network settings to connect the device to the network quickly.

Network Connection:

Choose network type: Ethernet or Wi-Fi.

  • WIFI: Choose network SSID, input password, and connect WIFI.
  • Ethernet: Plug in the network cable to connect the network automatically.

4. Select Output Mode

Please select the corresponding mode according to your needs to finish relevant settings. The Wizard mode allows selection based on your usage environment and device connection.

Expert Mode:

The audio and video output is customized by users and is recommended for professionals. Settings include HDR mode, Resolution, Video frame rate, and Audio output.

5. Key Definition

Define the corresponding functions for number keys, timing key, subtitle key, audio key, up and down keys, and page keys on the remote control according to your usage habits.

After completing the settings, follow the prompts and click “Next” to finish the initial setup.

OTA System Update

Zidoo updates the firmware from time to time. Find the update icon in APPS and click it. Both online update and local update are supported. After ticking “Automatically check online upgrade”, you will receive prompts for the latest firmware update automatically.

1. Online Update

Click “Online Update” to obtain information of the online update.

2. Local Update

Users can download update files from the forum or official website and update firmware through files. Copy the downloaded update file to a USB disk. Click “USB update” to select the update file.

Download the update file by online update or local update. Click “Update” to update it.

System Upgrade Process

The system will automatically check the update file for completeness.

Note: Automatically access to system upgrade. Please do not power off during the process.

Once the update process is completed, the system will automatically restart.

Special Note: To guarantee user experience, Zidoo will update the firmware from time to time. Therefore, this manual may not be totally in line with the product.
