Introduction to Hardware
Device Interface
The Zidoo Z2000 PRO is equipped with audio and video input & output ports and data transmission ports. Please refer to the descriptions in this manual.
1. Front Panel
The front panel features:
- LED Display
- IR Receiver
- SWITCH button (Power)
- COVER for HDD Bay
- 4K HDR / Dolby Vision / Dolby Audio indicators
- HDD BAY
- USB 2.0 ports (two)
- RESTORE USB 2.0 port
3. Right Side
The right side has a COVER, likely for access to internal components or ventilation.
4. Back Panel
The back panel includes:
- POWER input (AC)
- Cooling Fan
- CVBS (Composite Video)
- L/R CHANNELS (Audio RCA outputs)
- OPTICAL (Digital Audio Output)
- COAXIAL (Digital Audio Output)
- HDMI port
- USB 3.0 port
- GIGABIT LAN port
- RS232 port
- Safety warning: "CAUTION: RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK DO NOT OPEN"
Notes for Back Panel:
- Load/change the hard disk only after turning off the power. Format new hard disks before loading.
- Prevent the cooling fan orifice from being blocked.
- Avoid contact with liquids to prevent damage.
- Unauthorized personnel should not open the case.
Load the Hard Disk
The Z2000 PRO features a 3.5-inch HDD Bay with a high-speed SATA transmission port. The hard disk can be loaded by pushing it in by hand. The maximum supported hard disk size is 14 TB.
Note: Do not load or change the hard disk while the device is powered on to avoid damage to the device or data. If using a new hard disk, format it before loading. Supported formats include EXT3, EXT4, NTFS, FAT32, and EXFAT.
Device Connection
1. Connect HDMI Cable to TV
- Ensure both the TV and media player are powered off.
- Connect the HDMI port on the Zidoo to the HDMI IN port on the TV.
- Connect the AC power adapter to the device's AC power input port and plug it into a 110V-240V socket.
- Turn on the media player by pressing the power button on the front panel or remote control, then turn on the TV.
- Select the corresponding video source on the TV (e.g., HDMI 1, HDMI 2, etc.).
2. Connect AV Cable to TV
The connection method is the same as connecting an HDMI cable.

Boot Initialization Wizard
The system performs an initial setup for optimal visual experience. Follow these steps:
1. System language selection, screen zoom, time zone setting
- System Language Selection: Choose your preferred language from the list (e.g., English, 中文(简体), Español).
- Screen Zoom: Use the UP and DOWN buttons on the remote control to adjust the screen display area.
- Time Zone Setting: Select your current time zone from the provided list (e.g., China, U.S.A., Vietnam).
2. Bluetooth Match-Up
To pair the remote controller:
- Align the remote controller with the media player (within 30cm, directed at the player).
- Press and hold the 'Page-Down' KEY and 'Menu KEY' simultaneously for at least 5 seconds until the indicator light blinks. The light will turn off upon successful matching.
Connection Status: Displays connection status, device name, and address.
3. Network Setting
Configure network connection:
- Wi-Fi: Select the network SSID, input the password, and connect.
- Ethernet: Plug in the network cable for automatic connection.
4. Select output mode
Choose the appropriate mode based on your needs for relevant settings.
- Wizard mode: Select options based on your usage environment and device connection (e.g., Directly connected TV, HDMI connects to AV receiver, HDMI connected to TV while OPTICAL...).
- Expert mode: Recommended for professionals, allowing customized audio and video output settings (Resolution, HDR mode, Video frame rate, Audio output).
5. The key definition
Customize the functions of remote control keys:
- Number keys
- Timing keys
- Subtitle keys
- Audio keys
- Up and Down keys
- Page Turning Keys
Click 'Next' after completing settings to finish the initial setup.
OTA System Update
Zidoo periodically releases firmware updates. Find the update icon in APPs to perform online or local updates.
- Automatically check online upgrade: Enable this option to receive prompts for the latest firmware updates automatically.
1. Online Update
Click 'Online Update' to get information about the latest online update and initiate the upgrade process.
2. Local Update
Download update files from the Zidoo forum or official website. Copy the downloaded file to a USB disk and click 'USB update' to select and install the file.
After downloading the update file (either online or local), click 'Update' to proceed. The system will verify the file and begin the upgrade process. Note: Do not power off the device during the system upgrade.
Once the update process is completed, the system will automatically restart.
