Samsung Upgrade Campaign: Detailed Terms and Conditions

General Information

Organizer: Samsung Electronics Czech and Slovak, s.r.o.

Campaign Period: July 1, 2025, to July 31, 2025, or while supplies last.

Eligibility: The campaign is open to individuals aged 18 and over with permanent residence or delivery address in Slovakia. It also includes legal entities and sole proprietors registered in Slovakia. Minors can participate with written consent from their legal guardian.

Campaign Offer: Participants can receive a discount on the purchase price of a new Samsung device by trading in their old device. This offer applies only to the purchase of selected Samsung device models available exclusively on https://www.samsung.com/sk/. The discount cannot be applied to new, used, or opened-box items.

Eligible Samsung Devices for Purchase:

Campaign Participation and Discount Application

To participate in the campaign and utilize the discount, participants must meet the following cumulative conditions:

1. Purchase any eligible Device exclusively from the Samsung e-shop at https://www.samsung.com/sk/.
2. The purchase of a Device is defined as the conclusion of a sales contract for a new Device from the Organizer's distribution. The order (or purchase) of the new Device must be made between July 1, 2025, and July 31, 2025, inclusive.
3. During the purchase of a new Device, the participant must express their interest in handing over (recycling) their old device, as specified in Article 8 of these Terms and Conditions, directly in the shopping cart on https://www.samsung.com/sk/. A more detailed description of this process is provided below. By purchasing a Device listed in Article 4 of these Terms and Conditions, filling in the required information for the buy-back of the old device directly in the shopping cart during the purchase of the new Device on https://www.samsung.com/sk/, and handing over the corresponding old device simultaneously with the delivery of the new Device, the Participant will receive the Discount on the purchase price of the new Device under the stipulated conditions (at the value indicated in the table below in these Terms and Conditions).
4. The Participant must be among the buyers on https://www.samsung.com/sk/ who expressed interest in handing over their old device for recycling in the prescribed manner, subsequently handed over the old device, and fulfilled all obligations set forth in these Campaign Terms and Conditions.
5. The condition for obtaining the discount is the purchase of at least one of the Devices listed in Article 4 of these Terms and Conditions. The intention to use the Discount can be expressed in the manner specified in Article 5, letter b), only during the period from July 1, 2025, to July 31, 2025, inclusive. Failure to meet this deadline or failure to meet the other conditions of these Terms and Conditions does not grant the right to the Discount.

Participant and Device Registration in the Campaign

General Information:

a) To utilize this promotion, the Participant must make a purchase of a Device on https://www.samsung.com/sk/ between July 1, 2025, and July 31, 2025, inclusive. In the shopping cart, they must indicate their interest in recycling their old device by selecting the "Delivery with collection of old appliance - FREE" shipping option. The old device must then be handed over simultaneously with the delivery of the new Device. Failure to comply with this deadline cannot be rectified, and the opportunity to obtain the Discount will be forfeited.

b) The Customer's account is created and identified based on the personal data provided by the Customer when purchasing the Device on https://www.samsung.com/sk/.

c) In the shopping cart form on https://www.samsung.com/sk/, it is necessary to fill in the parameters of the old device that the Participant wishes to give up. Without this information, the order included in this Campaign cannot be completed.

d) Furthermore, the Participant must hand over the old device upon delivery of the purchased Device, based on the information provided during the purchase of the new Device on https://www.samsung.com/sk/, and after expressing interest in the buy-back of the old device.

e) Only newly purchased Devices whose model is listed in Article 4 of these Terms and Conditions can be included in this Campaign.

f) There is a limit of 1 (one) new Device per Participant in the Campaign, as stated in Articles 6 and 7 of these Terms and Conditions (i.e., a maximum of one Discount).

Trade-in (Handover) of Old Device Registration on the Website

a) On the website https://www.samsung.com/sk/, in the shopping cart when purchasing a new Device whose model is listed in Article 4 of these Terms and Conditions, a form will be prepared where the participant must fill in the brand, type, and parameters of the old device they wish to give up. The Participant also agrees to the processing of personal data in accordance with these Terms and Conditions and confirms the truthfulness of the filled-in information by means of a sworn declaration. Subsequently, the "Delivery with collection of old appliance - FREE" shipping option must be selected.

b) After providing the old device that the Participant wishes to hand over, the specific amount of the Discount will be displayed to the Participant. The Participant is obliged to confirm the method of handing over the old device to the Organizer in the shopping cart on https://www.samsung.com/sk/ when purchasing a new Device, by means of a free courier collection simultaneously with the delivery of the newly purchased Device.

c) Upon proper completion of the new Device order, the Participant will receive information about the next steps via email.

d) The Organizer (or the carrier) reserves the exclusive right to refuse to accept the old device, particularly, but not exclusively, due to incorrect specification of the old device at the time of purchasing the new Device (e.g., a different type of device) or if the old device is not ready for collection at the time of delivery of the new Device. In this regard, the Organizer points out that the old device must be properly disconnected (including disconnection from the electrical network and draining of water or deletion of all data) and generally prepared for uncomplicated removal.

e) The Organizer (or carrier) is not obliged to send multiple notifications, even if the sent email is captured as spam by the recipient's service provider, which the Organizer cannot verify or determine.

f) If the Participant does not receive a confirmation email from the Organizer, it is recommended that the Participant checks their spam folder in their email – it is possible that the Organizer's message was marked as SPAM, either by the Participant's internet service provider or by the settings of an anti-spam or other filter. If the Participant cannot find the confirmation email, they are obliged to contact the campaign hotline immediately to resolve the issue. The Campaign Organizer is not responsible for the potential loss of the Discount due to non-delivery or loss of the purchase agreement email, other delays on the Participant's side, or for the misuse of the Discount due to unauthorized access to the Participant's email account by a third party.

Description and Application of the Discount

a) By purchasing a Device listed in Article 4 of these Terms and Conditions, expressing interest in handing over their old device for recycling in the shopping cart on https://www.samsung.com/sk/, and handing over their old device in accordance with these Terms and Conditions, the Participant is entitled to the Discount in the amount specified in Article 8 b) under the conditions stated in these Terms and Conditions.

b) Within the campaign, the Participant can receive a discount on the purchase price of a new Device according to the attached table, provided that the old device is handed over. The bonus can be applied in accordance with Articles 5 to 7 of these Terms and Conditions for the purchase of a Device listed in Article 4 of these Terms and Conditions.

Discount based on the type of old (recycled) device handed over:

c) Upon completion of the old device specification in the shopping cart when purchasing a new Device, the Discount will be automatically included in the purchase price of the new Device (i.e., the Participant will pay the purchase price of the new Device reduced by the Discount).

d) In the case of purchasing a Device by a Participant as a consumer within the meaning of Act No. 102/2014 Coll. on Consumer Protection in the Sale of Goods or Provision of Services based on a distance contract or a contract concluded outside the seller's business premises, the Discount is payable only if the consumer does not exercise their right to withdraw from the distance purchase contract without giving a reason within the statutory period as per §7 of Act No. 102/2014 Coll. The right to the Discount does not arise even in the case where a buyer who is not a consumer exercises a similar right to withdraw from the contract without giving a reason in accordance with the seller's terms and conditions.

e) The condition for obtaining the mentioned Discount is the purchase of a new Device, selection of the "Delivery with collection of old appliance - FREE" delivery option, handing over of the old device in accordance with these Terms and Conditions and in accordance with the specification of the old device provided by the Participant during the purchase of the new Device, and fulfillment of the other requirements according to these Terms and Conditions.

f) If the Participant fails to fulfill their obligation to hand over the old device to the Carrier in accordance with these Terms and Conditions simultaneously with the delivery of the new Device, or if the Carrier refuses to accept the old device for a valid reason (see Article 7, letter d) of these Terms and Conditions), it is considered that the Participant is not entitled to the Discount. In such a case, the Participant is obliged to pay the Organizer (or the carrier) the full purchase price of the new Device (or the difference representing the Discount to which the Participant is not entitled for the aforementioned reason) before the delivery of the new Device.

g) The Organizer points out that the old device handed over to the Organizer for free collection within this Promotion for the purpose of obtaining a discount on the purchase price of the new Device is intended for recycling (or ecological disposal) and has no resale value in this regard. After handing over the old Device, it cannot be returned to the Participant under any circumstances, even if the purchase contract for the new Device is canceled. Furthermore, the Participant is not entitled to any compensation or reward (other than the Discount) for the handed-over old Device.

Other Provisions

9) The Participant is obliged to keep the tax document (cash receipt or invoice) proving the purchase of the Device even after its purchase. Each Participant is obliged to request a tax document from the Seller proving the purchase of the Device and containing all necessary information, i.e., the exact date of purchase of the Device and the specification of the Device. Without this information, tax receipts will not be considered valid.

10) The Campaign Organizer is entitled to request further verification to determine the entitlement to the Discount in cases where there is suspicion that the Participant has engaged in fraudulent conduct in order to claim the Discount within the Campaign. The Participant is obliged to provide the requested data or documents within 10 days and in the requested format. The Organizer reserves the right to make a final decision in disputed cases regarding whether the Participant has complied with all the campaign participation rules.

The Organizer reserves the right to refuse the claim for the Discount. If the Organizer has a reasonable suspicion that the Participant has acted fraudulently with the aim of claiming the Discount from the Campaign, the Organizer has the right to exclude such a Participant from the Campaign without the right to the Discount from the Campaign.

11) By registering, the Participant agrees to the terms and conditions of the Campaign and undertakes to comply with them in full. The Participant further declares that they have familiarized themselves with the conditions for processing personal data in accordance with these terms and conditions and that they have understood them.

12) Further information regarding the processing of personal data by the Organizer, including related rights, is available at https://www.samsung.com/sk/.

13) Claiming participation or discounts in the Campaign through legal action is excluded.

14) The results of the Campaign are final, without the possibility of appeal. The Organizer reserves the right to replace the announced Discounts with other Discounts of a similar type and corresponding value and to change the conditions for providing Discounts.

15) The complete and accurate rules and registration conditions are available on the website https://www.samsung.com/sk/.

16) The Campaign Organizer reserves the right to terminate the Campaign in exceptional and fully justified cases. The Organizer is entitled to change the Campaign rules or the technical or organizational security of the Campaign; the change of the Terms and Conditions in such a case becomes effective immediately upon publication on the Campaign website https://www.samsung.com/sk/. If the Participant does not agree with the change of the Campaign rules, they are entitled to terminate their participation in the Campaign free of charge by unilateral notification delivered to the Organizer via the website https://www.samsung.com/sk/ or by calling the hotline 0800 726 786.

17) This campaign cannot be combined with other promotional offers (especially with promotional offers for the purchase of appliances in multiple households).

18) This Campaign is governed by Slovak law.
