This document provides step-by-step instructions for assembling the IKEA NESTTUN bed frame. Please follow these instructions carefully to ensure safe and correct assembly.

Parts and Hardware

Before starting, identify all parts and hardware. Refer to the diagrams for visual confirmation.

• Screws (part 105163): 8x (for slatted base)

Note: The diagrams on page 3 illustrate the components. Some parts like 105163 and 191315 are shown with different quantities, but the assembly requires the specified amounts for the slatted base.

Assembly Steps

1. Step 1: Prepare Headboard Attachment

   Attach the side rails to the headboard. Insert screws (117444) into brackets (120334). Ensure correct orientation as shown; avoid incorrect methods indicated by a crossed-out symbol ❌.

2. Step 2: Secure Side Rails to Headboard

   Using 8 screws (117444) and 8 brackets (120334), securely attach the side rails to the headboard posts.

3. Step 3: Attach Side Supports

   Attach the bed frame's side supports to the headboard and footboard posts. Use 2 connectors/bolts on each side.

4. Step 4: Position Second Side Rail

   With assistance, position the second side rail into place.

5. Step 5: Secure Second Side Rail

   Secure the second side rail using 8 screws (111631) and the provided Allen key (111631).

6. Step 6: Attach Protective Caps

   Attach 4 plastic caps (10002820) to the designated points on the bed frame for a finished look and protection.

7. Step 7: Prepare Slatted Base

   Prepare the slatted bed base for installation. This may involve unrolling or unfolding it. Handle with care, as indicated by a warning symbol ⚠️.

8. Step 8: Install and Secure Slatted Base

Ensure the base is firmly attached.
