IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

The VonHaus 3 Drawer Chest is intended for indoor use only.

Do not use the 3 Drawer Chest for any purpose other than that for which it is designed.

This product is not a toy. Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the product.

CAUTION: The assembly pack contains small parts which pose a choking hazard to children and pets. Keep children and pets clear at all times during assembly.

Locate the 3 Drawer Chest in a suitable area where it will not be an obstruction. Place on solid, even ground.

This 3 Drawer Chest is water resistant but not waterproof. Prolonged contact with water can cause the wood to warp or damage the finish.

CAUTION: Do not place hot drinks directly onto the furniture.

WARNING! Never stand on, or rest on the product as this can cause damage or injury.

Do not overload the product as this may result in damage to the product or personal injury.

Do not exceed maximum weight capacity of 10kg.

Do not clean the product with any abrasive chemicals, solvents, and detergents as this can damage the surface.

Periodically check the fittings and secure as necessary (every 3 months or as required). Re-tighten the fittings 1 week after first assembly.

Take care not to over tighten any fixings as this could damage the product.

Always assemble near to the area to be installed/placed.

Ensure you have sufficient space to assemble the product.

CAUTION: Do not use any power tools to assemble the product as this could cause damage to fixings and panels.

Anti-Tip Safety Strap Information

It is recommended that furniture items above 75cm in height should be secured to a wall to prevent accidental tipping.

Securing the Anti-Tip Strap.

1. Attach the Anti-Tip Strap to the back of the unit, secure into place (centre or either side).
2. Place the unit against the wall you wish to be located and mark the wall where the tip strap will be attached.
3. Use the appropriate wall fitting to secure into place.

NOTE: It is recommended to attach the tip strap a little lower than the top and depending on location.

Components & Hardware

Components

The diagram shows the main components of the Colonial 3 Drawer Unit. These include:

• Component 1: Base panel.
• Component 2: Side panels (x2).
• Component 3: Top panel.
• Component 4: Back panel.
• Component 5: Drawer runners/supports (x3 sets).
• Component 6: Drawer front (x3).
• Component 7: Drawer base (x3).
• Components 9, 10, 11, 12, 13: Parts for assembling the drawer boxes (x3 sets).

HARDWARE

The following hardware is included:

• A x24: Screws
• B x24: Dowels/Fixings
• C x12: Cam Locks
• D x15: Screws
• F x3: Plastic Brackets
• G x13: Screws
• H x14: Screws
• I x1: Metal Bracket (for anti-tip strap)
• J x1: Screw (for anti-tip bracket)
• K x1: Wall Plug (for anti-tip strap)

Assembly Instructions

STEP 1

Attach the side panels (2) to the base panel (1). Use screws (D) and (A) for this connection. Component (8) is referenced, likely indicating pre-drilled holes or a specific panel feature.

STEP 2

Attach the drawer runners/supports (5) to the main frame (components 1 and 2) using hardware (C) and (B). Component (F), a plastic bracket, is also attached to component (5). This step is shown for one side and implies repetition.

STEP 3

Continue attaching drawer runners/supports (5) to the other side panel (2) of the main frame using hardware (C) and (B).

STEP 4

Attach the top panel (3) to the assembled frame. Use hardware (B) and (A) for this connection. The main structure of the unit is now formed.

STEP 5

Slide the back panel (4) into the grooves on the side panels and secure it using screws (H).

STEP 6

Assemble the three drawer boxes. Connect the drawer sides (11, 12) to the drawer front (9) and drawer base (13) using screws (G). Attach the drawer runners (10) to the sides of the drawer boxes using hardware (B). This step is repeated three times for all drawers.

STEP 7

Insert the assembled drawers into the unit. Arrows indicate the direction of insertion.

STEP 8

Attach the anti-tip bracket (I) to the back of the unit using screw (J). Then, attach the other end of the anti-tip strap (K) to the wall using screw (G) and an appropriate wall fitting (not supplied). The diagram shows the strap connecting the unit to the wall for safety.

Cleaning & Maintenance

• A weekly dust will help shift the filmy layer of airborne deposits that build up over time and can scratch the surface of your furniture.
• Dampen a clean, dry cloth (non-scratching and preferably microfibre) with water and gently wipe the surface. The moisture will collect the dust and prevent any flyaway dust particles.

CAUTION: Avoid using any abrasive cleaning solvents on the 3 Drawer Chest as this may damage the surface.

The warranty only applies if the product is used solely in the manner indicated in the Warnings page of this manual, and all other instructions have been followed accurately. Any abuse of the product or the manner in which it is used will invalidate the warranty.

Returned goods will not be accepted unless re-packaged in its original colour box and accompanied by a relevant and completed returns form. This does not affect your statutory rights.

No rights are given under this warranty to a person acquiring the appliance second-hand or for commercial or communal use.
