Sony SMAD-P5 Shoe Mount Adaptor

Operating Instructions

Overview

The Sony SMAD-P5 is a dedicated shoe-mount adaptor designed to connect the receiver of the UWP-D series wireless microphone package (URX-P40 portable diversity tuner) to a camera. It is compatible with Sony video camera recorders, interchangeable-lens digital cameras, and other Sony cameras equipped with a multi-interface shoe, enhancing the convenience of using a wireless microphone for video shooting.

Note: For certain camera models, the power supply and power on/off linking functions may not be guaranteed. In such cases, insert new AA alkaline batteries into the receiver and set the receiver's power source (PWR SOURCE) menu item to BATT ONLY mode. Replace batteries promptly when the indicator shows one segment or less to prevent unexpected camera shutdown or data loss.

For details on compatible cameras, visit the Sony website.
