Pairing

When you first power on the headset, pairing mode begins. Slide the power switch on to begin. A message saying "Pairing" will play, and the LED will flash red and white.

To pair with a new device: Ensure your phone's Bluetooth is on and search for new devices. For iPhone, go to Settings > Bluetooth > On. For Android, go to Settings > Bluetooth > On > Search for devices. Select "PLT BBGO800 Series". You may be prompted to enter a 4-digit PIN (0000) or confirm the connection. When pairing is successful, a "pairing successful" message will play, and the LED will stop flashing.

Pairing with a second device: Slide the power button towards the Bluetooth icon until the LED flashes red and white. On your device, select "PLT BBGO800 Series" from the Bluetooth settings.

Pairing with a Mac: If your Mac has Bluetooth, you can pair your headset with it. Slide the power button towards the Bluetooth icon and hold it until the "Pairing" message plays and the LED flashes red and blue. On your Mac, go to Apple menu > System Preferences > Bluetooth. Click "Set up New Device" or "+", select "PLT BBGO800 Series Stereo", and follow the on-screen instructions.

Charging

A full charge for the headset takes approximately 120 minutes. The LED will turn off when charging is complete.

Tip: To check the battery status, press the power/Bluetooth button while wearing the headset. The headset should be idle.

The headset provides up to 22 hours of music playback with ANC on, and up to 28 hours with ANC off.

Basic Operations

Headset Overview

ANC (Active Noise Cancelling): Reduces ambient noise for clearer listening and improved sound quality.

Volume Up: Increases volume.

Volume Down: Decreases volume.

Next Track: Skips to the next song.

Play/Pause Music: Press the play/pause button lightly.

Previous Track: Skips to the previous song.

Call Button: Used for call functions.

Siri, Google Now: Press and hold the call button for 2 seconds to activate your voice assistant.

Bluetooth Pairing Button: Used for Bluetooth pairing.

Power On/Off: Slide the power switch to turn the headset on or off.

Headset LED: Indicates status.

Mute/Unmute: Lightly press the EQ/Mute button during a call.

EQ Settings: Tap the EQ button to cycle through EQ modes. You can also change EQ settings via the BackBeat app.

Powering On/Off

Slide the switch to turn the headset on or off.

Play/Pause Music

Lightly press the play/pause button.

Selecting Tracks

To select tracks, press the next or previous button.

Activating Voice Features

If your smartphone has voice recognition, press and hold the play/pause button for about 2 seconds. Wait for your phone's message.

Making/Answering/Ending Calls

Lightly press the play/pause button to answer or end a call.

Rejecting a Call

Press and hold the play/pause button for about 2 seconds to reject a call.

Redialing Last Number (Smartphone)

To redial, lightly press the play/pause button twice.

Mute

Lightly press the EQ/Mute button during a call.

ANC

ANC reduces ambient noise, making it easier to hear music and improving sound quality. To turn ANC on/off, press and hold the volume up and volume down buttons for about 2 seconds.

Set EQ

Customize your audio and cycle through the EQ modes by tapping the EQ button. You can also change the EQ thru the BackBeat app.

Find Your Headset

Most headsets are found under car seats, in pockets, or on a messy desk. For less obvious locations, locate your headset by sending a tone to find it.

  1. Download the BackBeat app by visiting the Apple Store, Google Play, or plantronics.com/software.
  2. Locate your lost headset by using Find MyHeadset within the app.
