Buttons & Ports on Saregama Carvaan 2.0 Gold

Power Button: Located on the top of the unit.

Battery Charging Indicator: Displays charging status.

Red light: Charging
Green light: Fully charged

Modes: Press the corresponding mode button to choose a mode.

SAREGAMA: 5000 pre-loaded evergreen songs categorized into Artistes, Specials, Geetmala & Wi-Fi. This is the default mode on first power on/reset.
USB / AUX IN: Plug in a USB into the USB port to enjoy personal collections. Connect an Aux cable to the Aux IN port on the back panel to play songs from your phone/tablet. Press the mode button to switch between USB and Aux In. (Support for USB 2.0)
FM/AM: Listen to local FM/AM stations. Press the mode button to switch between FM and AM.

FM frequency: 87.5 to 108 MHz
AM frequency: 520 to 1620 KHz

BLUETOOTH: Pair your mobile phone/tablet with Carvaan 2.0 Gold to enjoy songs stored on your personal device on speakers. (Support for BT version 4.1)

Volume Control: Adjusts the volume.

3.5 mm audio jack: For connecting external speakers/headphones.

Device Features and Usage

Full battery charge time: 6-7 hours.

Battery usage: Approximately 5 hours once the battery is fully charged.

Note: It is recommended not to charge the unit while listening to FM/AM as it may interrupt the signal.

Saregama Mode Categories:

Artistes: 65+ music stations dedicated to legends like Lata Mangeshkar, Kishore Kumar, Asha Bhosle, Mohd. Rafi, R.D. Burman, Gulzar, Rishi Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan, Noor Jehan, Mukesh, Nargis, Rekha etc.
Specials: 15+ music stations dedicated to Specials like Romance, Ghazal, Gurbani, Bhakti, Kapoors, Sad, Songs with Dialogues, Hindustani Instrumental, Favourites etc.
Geetmala: 50 years of Ameen Sayani's Geetmala spanning across 50 music stations.
Wi-Fi: Many Wi-Fi based stations across genres like devotional, health & wellness, kids, entertainment, and much more. Connect to a Wi-Fi network using the 'Saregama Carvaan' app for Wi-Fi based stations.

Saregama Carvaan App

Download the 'Saregama Carvaan' app from the Apple / Android store for free and subscription-based services.

Free services: Use the app to find a song, create playlists to playout on your Carvaan 2.0 Gold unit. To use the app, press the 'Saregama mode' button on Carvaan 2.0 Gold and connect the app & Carvaan 2.0 Gold using Bluetooth on your phone/tablet.
Subscription services: Subscribe to the app and listen to songs on your phone/tablet without being connected to the Carvaan 2.0 Gold unit.

Refer to the enclosed insert for steps on how to connect the app and Carvaan 2.0 Gold unit.

Frequency: 50/60 Hz for input and 9V 1A for output

External Antenna:

Insert the antenna into the AUX IN port for improved reception of local FM stations.

Remote Control Functions:

Volume Up/Down: Use the '+' and '-' buttons.
Station/Song Navigation: Use the 'next station' and 'previous station' buttons to move across stations.
Play/Pause: Use the 'play/pause' button.
Previous/Next Song: Use the 'previous song' and 'next song' buttons.
Mode Selection: Buttons for Saregama mode, FM/AM mode, USB/AUX IN, and BT mode.
Favourite: Mark a song as favourite.

Remote Control Battery Replacement:

Open the battery compartment.
Insert a fresh CR2025 battery with the correct polarity (-/+).
Close the battery compartment.
Discard the used battery properly.

Safety Handling

1. Care for Product:

Keep Carvaan 2.0 Gold away from dust and excessive heat.
Prevent spillage of water or any other liquid to avoid failure or fire hazard.
Clean the unit with a dry cloth only.
Do not walk on or pinch the power cord.
Do not immerse Carvaan 2.0 Gold or the remote into water.
Remove the remote battery when not in use for extended periods.
Do not mix different brands or types of batteries in the remote.

2. Care for Battery:

Do not expose the battery to heat sources greater than 60°C.
Recycle or dispose of the battery properly, ensuring correct handling and disposal methods.
Do not subject the battery pack to mechanical shock.
In case of battery leak, avoid contact with skin or eyes. Wash affected area with water and seek medical advice if necessary.
To prolong battery life, avoid complete discharge.

3. Others:

Use only manufacturer-specified attachments/accessories.
For repair/servicing, contact an authorized service center or call toll-free number 1800-102-7799.

Note on Disposal: Waste electrical products should not be disposed of with household waste. Follow local authority guidelines for disposal and recycling.

Warranty Overview

Carvaan 2.0 Gold includes a 1-year warranty on all parts, excluding accessories. This covers servicing, repair, or replacement of damaged parts.

Warranty Exclusions:

Liability for loss of data/content due to misuse or tampering.
Damage caused by force majeure events, fire, water, electrical disturbances, negligence, mishandling, or usage for commercial, business, industrial, educational, or rental purposes.

Warranty Card:

Fields for Customer's Name, Address, Product Serial No., Date of Purchase, Expiry Date, Retailer's Name, and Retailer's Signature/Seal. Includes a checkbox for accepting terms and conditions and a space for Customer's Signature.

Warranty Type

Home service and carry-in warranty are provided. Home service requires a technician visit, available in locations with authorized service centers. Carry-in warranty requires the customer to bring the product to an Authorized Dealer with the original invoice.

Carvaan 2.0 Gold Unit and Wi-Fi Connectivity

Connect to Wi-Fi for Wi-Fi based stations. Ensure good Wi-Fi speed for an uninterrupted experience.

Set Up Process:

On Carvaan 2.0 Gold:

Press the 'Saregama' button, followed by the ‘Wi-Fi’ category button.

On your mobile phone:

Turn on Bluetooth.
Download the 'Saregama Carvaan' app.
Open the app and choose 'Play on Carvaan'.
Select Carvaan 2.0 Gold from the list of available devices.
Tap the menu (top left) and select 'Connect to Wi-Fi'.
Choose a Wi-Fi network and enter the password. The app will remember your Wi-Fi password.

Your Carvaan 2.0 Gold unit is now connected to Wi-Fi. A Wi-Fi icon will appear on the unit's display.

To change the network, go to the 'Connect to Wi-Fi' page on the app and select the preferred network.

Note: Wi-Fi charges are as per your Wi-Fi service provider.
