Seek medical advice if you are unsure of whether it is suitable to use the IPL Hair Removal Device. Using the device on photosensitive skin could result in skin damage including blisters and swelling.

Operation Principle
The Ulike IPL Hair Removal Device is a light-based device for long-term hair removal, designed for home use. It is intended for the removal of unwanted hair and permanent reduction in hair regrowth. Ideal body areas include the underarms, bikini line, arms, and legs. The device uses IPL technology with a lower energy level, including 3 levels of output energy. Intense Pulsed Light technology achieves long-term hair removal results at a fraction of the energy level used in other light-based hair removal equipment.
The Principle of Operation is selective photothermolysis, and the Mechanism of Operation is to disable hair growth using light to preferentially heat the hair bulb.
How to Use
Application Ranges
The IPL Hair Removal Device is for hair removal of large areas (e.g., arms, legs, chest) and small areas (e.g., fingers, lip). Please check the Skin Tone Table below to determine whether IPL is suitable for you.
Use on Acceptable Skin Types
This device is to be used only on Fitzpatrick Skin Types I-V.
Before using the device, choose your skin tone on the basis of the Fitzpatrick Phototyping Scale, developed by Harvard Medical School dermatologist Thomas Fitzpatrick, M.D., PhD, to classify a person's complexion and their tolerance of sunlight. There are six levels of skin tone in the scale.
Please identify your skin tone and check the following diagram to see whether the product is applicable:
Skin color | White | Beige | Light brown | Medium brown | Dark brown | Brown, black and darker |

(Note: X means not applicable)
Important Notes:
- Choose the comfortable level according to your skin tolerance and increase the level from one to five gradually. If there is no unsuitable reaction, you can increase the level gradually.
- The color of your skin may change, for example, because your skin has been tanned: it may then be darker than the skin tone during the previous treatment. Therefore, it is important that you check the settings to be used before each treatment and set the settings according to different treatment areas. Some areas may be darker than others.
Prior to Use
Use the razor provided with the device to remove all visible hair on the skin before using the device. Make sure there is no hair remaining above the surface of the skin, as this can cause treatment discomfort. Remove any cosmetics, lotions, and cream from the area you wish to treat. Cleanse the treatment area and pat dry.
Skin Test
Before your first treatment, we RECOMMEND you test your skin for reactions.
- Select a part of the body you intend to treat. Connect the power adapter and switch on the device. Press the treatment window firmly on the selected skin until the skin contact sensor indicator lights up.
- Move the device to another test position and raise the energy level. Press the Flash Button to do another test treatment. If it feels comfortable, increase the setting by one level and try it on another test position.
- Do not apply more than one flash on the same spot. Wait 2 hours after the test to ensure your skin is suitable for treatment and there is no adverse reaction to the light energy. If there is no skin abnormality after 2 hours, but you feel intense hotness during the treatment, then the last energy level is the most proper energy level for your skin.
Instructions for Use
- Please connect one end of the power cord with the plug to the switching power supply.
- Plug the other end into an electrical outlet.
- Wear the goggles before treatment starts.
- Short press the Power On/Off button on the side of the main unit to turn on the product. The energy level and cooling function will be displayed when the product is turned on.
- The product has three modes. Short press the Power On/Off/Mode Switch on the side of the main unit to turn on the product and switch to the hair removal mode you need. The mode will change in the following order: Soft Mode - Body Mode - Power Mode - Body Mode - Soft Mode.
- Place the light outlet on the skin to be treated vertically. The hair removal sensor indicator light will light up to indicate that it fully contacts the skin. Press the flashing button to start hair removal. If the white light is not on, the lamp head fails to completely contact the skin, and the product will not emit light.
- Once the treatment is completed, press and hold the Power Button for 1.2 seconds to turn off the device (NEVER pull the plug without turning off the device). If there is no operation for 3 minutes, the device will turn off automatically.
Note: The cooling function is only to provide the user with a better experience during hair removal, without any therapeutic effect.
Note: The device has a fan speed detection module that detects the fan speed. When the fan speed is lower than 70% of the rated speed of the fan, the device will automatically shut down, so as to avoid local high temperature leading to burns.
Treatment Methods
- Auto-Glide Method (for large areas such as arms, legs): Place the light outlet on the area to be treated and let it fully contact the skin. At this time, the hair removal sensor indicator light will light up, indicating that the lamp head fully contacts the skin. Long press the flashing button for 1.2 seconds, and the continuous play indicator light will light up. Smart Continuous Play Mode will engage. Please keep the light outlet contacting the skin. Flashes will be emitted at a certain interval. Please keep moving the product. Move it back and forth twice on the area to be treated to ensure that the area is covered evenly and avoid missing light.
- Tip: You can adjust your movement speed according to the flashing speed, so that the product can cover the area more evenly. The flashing frequency is higher in Soft Mode and slightly lower in Body Mode. Furthermore, the higher the level, the slower the light will be emitted.
- Spot Method (suitable for small areas such as fingers and upper lips): Place the light outlet on the area to be treated and let it fully contact the skin. The hair removal sensor indicator light will light up at this time, indicating that the lamp head fully contacts the skin. Short press the flashing button to start hair removal. Move the lamp head to the next area, wait for the white light of the hair removal sensor indicator light, and then press the flashing button again to repeat the above operation in order.
- Tip: If you start to feel excessive heat on your skin during the hair removal process, pause for a few seconds to let the light outlet cool down again before using the product again.
Suggested Treatment Regime
- Week 1&2: Treat every other day
- Week 3&4: Treat twice per week
- After the initial treatment phase (12 weekly treatments), treat the target area to maintain results once a month, or as required.
Skincare After Treatment
After hair removal, it is recommended to apply body lotion or cold compress gel for skin care. Do not use skin care products containing alcohol. Do not expose treated areas to the sun. Wait at least 7 days after treatment before exposing treated skin to direct sunlight.
