User's Guide

Product Description

Thank you for purchasing the MILESEEY handheld infrared thermal imager. Please read this user guide carefully before use.

The TR256 is a handheld infrared thermal imager featuring a large 3.5-inch display, providing a wider visualization range for effective fault area verification. Its customizable emissivity setting ensures more accurate detection data. The TR256 can capture and save images, and easily export them via USB cable or SD card, serving as a basis for maintenance. It is an ideal choice for maintenance and testing.

The TR256 has a built-in 5000mAh lithium battery and a Type-C charging interface, offering convenience and environmental protection. It can automatically track cold and hot spots, lock the lowest and highest temperature points, and can be configured with individual high and low temperature alarm points. It detects and provides more accurate real-time temperature data, effectively assisting in various temperature detection tasks.

Additionally, the TR256 is equipped with a 3W white LED light to help users clearly see the detection area in dark environments, facilitating night work and ensuring personnel safety. Its IP65 protection level shields the device from dust and humid environments, prolonging its service life.

Safety Instructions

Appearance

The TR256 features:

  1. 3.5-inch large display
  2. Power button: Long press to turn on/off.
  3. LED light button: Short press to turn on, short press again to cycle through 1st gear, 2nd gear, or OFF.
  4. Image memory records: Short press to enter image memory mode. Press the SET button to delete all/one image.
  5. Return button: Short press to go back.
  6. Adjust button: Short press to access the settings menu or data configuration.
  7. Navigation buttons (Up/Down/Left/Right): Used to change options and view image records.
  8. LED light
  9. Infrared camera
  10. Camera cover
  11. Tripod screw hole
  12. Shutter button: Short press to take and save a photo. Note: Ensure an SD card is inserted before taking photos. Photos are saved ONLY to the SD card.
  13. USB Port: Warning: Do not use adapters exceeding 5V 2A for charging, as it may damage the device.
  14. Micro SD card slot

Display Icons

The display shows various information:

  1. Light status
  2. Minimum temperature and position on the current screen
  3. Maximum temperature and position on the current screen
  4. Center point temperature
  5. Center point
  6. Current date and time
  7. Maximum temperature of the current area
  8. Color bar
  9. Minimum temperature of the current area
  10. Currently set detection distance
  11. Currently set emissivity
  12. Cursor options: Press ▲/▼ to switch, press SET to turn on/off.
  13. Alarm temperature adjustment: Press ▲/▼ to adjust, press SET to turn on/off.
  14. Temperature unit options: Press ▲/▼ to switch between °C and °F.
  15. Palette options: Press ▲/▼ to change between six colors and image modes.

Settings Menu

Press the SET button briefly to access the settings menu.

Settings Instructions:

  1. Press SET to enter the settings menu, where you can change the configuration area and value.
  2. Press ▲/▼ to navigate menu options, press SET to enter the configuration interface, and press ▲/▼ to set the value.
  3. Press SET/► to enter the configuration interface and change the configuration area.
  4. Press the back button (←) to return to the main settings menu.

Emissivity

Selecting the correct emissivity is crucial for accurate temperature measurements, as emissivity significantly impacts the measured surface temperature.

Press SET/► to configure emissivity. When the emissivity value in the configuration box turns blue, press ▲/▼ to adjust the emissivity value. After completing the setting, press the back button (←) to return to the main settings menu.

Suggestion: Emissivity can be set in the range of 0.01 to 0.99. For emissivity of common objects, refer to the appendix table.

Distance Adjustment

Setting the distance information before detection ensures more accurate temperature detection. Select the distance option, press SET/► to enter the value configuration interface. Press ▲/▼ to set the distance value (0-3m). After completing the setting, press the back button (←) to return to the main settings menu.

Alarm Temperature Adjustment

Select the high/low temperature setting option, press SET/► to enter the value configuration interface. Press SET/► again to change configuration items, and press ▲/▼ to set the temperature value and turn it on/off. After completing the setting, press the back button (←) to return to the main settings menu.

High temperature adjustment range: 40°C ~ 550°C

Low temperature adjustment range: -20°C ~ 40°C

Temperature Scale

Select the temperature option, press SET/► to enter the configuration. Press ▲/▼ to switch between low gain/high gain options. Press SET to confirm, then press and hold the back button (←) to return to the main settings menu.

Low gain temperature range: -20°C~150°C

High gain temperature range: 150°C~550°C

Note: Changing the gain takes over 10 seconds. Wait for the device to stabilize after changing the gain before performing other operations or temperature measurements.

Screen Brightness

Select the screen brightness option, press SET/► to enter the configuration. Press ▲/▼ to change between low/medium/high options. Press SET to confirm, then press the back button (←) to return to the main settings menu.

Date and Time Configuration

Select the date and time option, press SET/► to enter the configuration. Press SET/► again to change configuration items. Press ▲/▼ to set the value. Then press the back button (←) to return to the main settings menu.

Color Bar Configuration

Select the color bar option, press SET/► to enter the configuration. Press ▲/▼ to turn on/off. Press SET to confirm. Then press the back button (←) in the main settings menu to return.

USB Mode

Select the USB mode option, press SET/► to enter the configuration. Press ▲/▼ to switch between "USB Disk/USB Camera". Press SET to confirm. Then press the back button (←) to return to the main settings menu.

1. Contact Mileseey at (service@mileseey.com) to download PC software and complete the installation for image searching and real-time image projection.

2. When USB mode is set to USB Disk, you can browse images and analyze data in PC software by connecting the USB cable to the computer.

Note: 1) To switch to U-Disk mode, you must restart the thermal camera and then connect the USB cable to apply U-disk mode. 2) Do not change the image folder name or image file name, otherwise, a read error will occur.

3. When USB mode is set to USB Camera, connect the USB data cable to the computer. The real-time image projection function can be performed in the PC software.

Note: 1) To switch to USB camera mode, you must turn off the thermal camera, then connect the USB cable. The device will automatically apply USB camera mode. 2) Do NOT disconnect the USB cable during the computer screen projection process. First, close the projection software, then disconnect the USB cable when finished.

Automatic Shutdown

Select the automatic shutdown option, press SET/► to enter the configuration. Press ▲/▼ to change time options. Press SET to confirm, then press the back button (←) to return to the main settings menu.

Automatic Saving

Select the automatic saving option, press SET/► to enter the configuration. Press ▲/▼ to change between "on/off" options. Press SET to confirm, then press the back button (←) to return to the main settings menu.

Select "on" to automatically save every image taken by the user.

Select "off" for users to confirm if they want to save after taking photos.

Note: It is recommended not to save more than 2000 images to avoid affecting the device's reaction speed. When the number of images exceeds 2000, clean the SD card promptly.

Factory Reset

Select the factory reset option, press SET/► to enter the configuration. Press ▲/▼ to change between "Yes/No" options. Press SET to confirm, then press the back button (←) to return to the main settings menu.

Note: Use the factory reset function with caution. Once confirmed, all information on the device will be lost.

Format SD Card

Select the Format SD Card option, press SET/► to enter the configuration. Press ▲/▼ to change between "Yes/No" options. Press SET to confirm, then press the back button (←) to return to the main settings menu.

Note: Use the Format SD Card function with caution. Once formatting is confirmed, all information on the SD card will be lost.

Explore Image

Press the menu button briefly to enter the image exploration interface. Press ◄/► to select a different image. Press the SET button to enter the Delete Image option. Press ▲/▼ to select Delete a single image or Delete all images, then press the SET button to confirm deletion.

Note: Do not move the SD card while browsing images, as all images on the card will be lost.

LED Light

To prevent prolonged LED illumination from causing the device's temperature to rise and affect measurement accuracy, the LED light will automatically turn off after 5 minutes of continuous illumination. If you need to use it, turn it back on.
