Product Overview

Thank you for purchasing the handheld infrared thermal imager of Mileseey. Please read the user guide carefully before using it.

The TR120 is a handheld dual-camera infrared thermal imager with a 3.5-inch large screen, providing a wider display range for easier fault area checking. In infrared and visible light dual camera mode, the TR120 helps users pinpoint fault points and problem areas more accurately. Personalized emissivity settings ensure more accurate detection data.

The TR120 can capture and save pictures, and it's convenient to export them via USB cable or SD card for maintenance records. It is an ideal choice for maintenance and testing. The device features a built-in 5000mA 26650 lithium battery and a TYPE-C charging interface, making it convenient and environmentally friendly.

The TR120 automatically tracks cold and hot spots, locks the lowest and highest temperature points, and allows individual setting of high and low temperature alarm points. It provides accurate real-time temperature data and assists in various temperature detection tasks.

Additionally, the TR120 is equipped with a 3W white LED light for clear visibility in dark environments, enhancing safety during night work. Its IP65 protection level safeguards the device from dust and humid environments, prolonging its service life.

Safety Instructions

  • To ensure accurate measurement results and safety, use this product in accordance with the user manual. Failure to do so may void the warranty if the product is damaged.
  • Clean the housing with a damp cloth or mild soap liquid. Avoid using abrasives, isopropyl alcohol, or solvents on the instrument shell, lens, and windows.
  • Do not use this product in flammable, explosive, steamy, humid, or corrosive environments.
  • Stop using the product if it is damaged, dropped, or modified to prevent inaccurate measurement results.
  • Use the correct emissivity setting for accurate temperature readings.
  • The internal temperature of the product may rise during charging, potentially leading to inaccurate measurements. Avoid taking measurements during or immediately after charging.
  • To ensure measurement accuracy after prolonged periods of non-use, warm up the device for 10 minutes before measuring.

Appearance

The TR120 features the following components:

  • 1. 3.5-inch large screen
  • 2. On/off button (Long press to power on/off)
  • 3. LED light button (Short press to turn on, short press again to switch between 1 gear, 2 gears, or off)
  • 4. Picture memory records (Short press to enter picture memory mode; press SET button to delete all/one picture)
  • 5. Return button (Short press to return)
  • 6. Set button (Short press to enter the setting menu or data setting)
  • 7. Up/down/left/right button (To switch options and view picture records)
  • 8. LED Light
  • 9. Infrared camera
  • 10. Visible light camera
  • 11. Camera cover
  • 12. Tripod Screw Hole
  • 13. Picture taking button (Short press to take and save a picture)

Display Icon

The display shows the following information:

  • 1. Battery Status
  • 2. Minimum temperature and its position in the current screen
  • 3. Maximum temperature and its position in the current screen
  • 4. Center point temperature
  • 5. Center point
  • 6. Current date & time
  • 7. Maximum temperature of the color bar
  • 8. Color bar
  • 9. Minimum temperature of the color bar
  • 10. Currently set detection distance
  • 11. Currently set emissivity

Cursor Options: Press the ▲ / ▼ buttons to switch, and confirm with the SET button. Press the Return button to leave the setting menu.

The device supports various display modes:

  • Max./min.temp.
  • Area temperature measurement
  • Change in size of area

Alarm Temperature Setting

Press the ▲ / ▼ buttons to switch, and press the SET button to turn on/off.

The device allows setting high and low temperature alarms. High temperature setting range: 40°C~400°C. Low temperature setting range: -20°C~40°C.

Temperature Unit Options

Press the ▲ / ▼ buttons to switch between °C and °F.

Palette Options

Press the ▲ / ▼ buttons to switch between six color palettes and imaging modes:

  • White hot mode
  • Iron mode
  • Tropical mode
  • Arctic mode
  • Lava mode
  • Rainbow mode

Combination of Visible and Infrared Light

Press the SET button, use the scroll ring (▲ / ▼) to scroll through the combination menu. Choose a display mode using the scroll ring (▲ / ▼) and confirm with the SET button. Press the Return button to leave the setting menu.

Available modes include:

  • Visible light
  • Fusion rate
  • Fusion offset
  • PiP (Picture-in-Picture)
  • Infrared light

Setting Menu

Short press the SET button to access the setting menu.

Instructions:

  1. Press SET to enter the setting menu, allowing switching between setting areas and values.
  2. Press ▲ / ▼ to switch menu options, press SET to enter the setting interface, and press ▲ / ▼ to set the value.
  3. Press SET / ► to enter the setting interface and switch the setting area.
  4. Press the Return button (←) to go back to the main menu of settings.

Emissivity

Selecting the correct emissivity is crucial for accurate temperature measurements, as it significantly impacts the measured surface temperature. Press SET / ► to set the emissivity value. The value in the emissivity setting box turns blue. Use the ▲ / ▼ buttons to adjust the emissivity value. After setting, press the Return button (←) to return to the left main setting menu.

The emissivity can be set in the range of 0.01-0.99. Refer to the table for the emissivity of common objects:

Distance Setting

Setting the distance information before detection ensures more accurate temperature detection. Select the distance option, press SET / ► to enter the value setting interface. Press ▲ / ▼ to set the distance value (0.5~1.2m). After setting, press the Return button (←) to return to the main setting menu.

Alarm Temperature Setting

Select the high/low temperature setting option, press SET / ► to enter the value setting interface. Press SET / ► again to switch setting items, press ▲ / ▼ to set the temperature value and "on/off". After setting, press the Return button (←) to return to the main setting menu.

High temperature setting range: 40°C~400°C

Low temperature setting range: -20°C~40°C

Temperature Scale

Select the temperature option, press SET / ► to enter the setting. Press ▲ / ▼ to switch between low gain/high gain options. Press SET to confirm, then press and hold the Return button (←) to return to the main setting menu.

Temperature range of normal: -20°C~150°C

Temperature range of High: 100°C~400°C

Note: It takes over 10 seconds to switch gain. Please wait for the machine to stabilize after switching before performing other operations or temperature measurements.

Display Brightness

Select the display brightness option, press SET / ► to enter the setting. Press ▲ / ▼ to switch between low/middle/high options. Press SET to confirm, then press the Return button (←) to return to the main setting menu.

Date and Time Setting

Select the date & time option, press SET / ► to enter the setting. Press SET / ► again to switch setting items, press ▲ / ▼ to set the value. Then press the Return button (←) to return to the main setting menu.

Palette Setting

Select the Palette option, press SET / ► to enter the setting. Press ▲ / ▼ to switch "on/off". Press SET to confirm. Then press the Return button (←) to return to the main setting menu.

USB Mode

Select the USB mode option, press SET / ► to enter the setting. Press ▲ / ▼ to switch between "USB disk" and "USB camera". Press SET to confirm. Then press the Return button (←) to return to the main setting menu.

Instructions for PC Software:

  • Contact Mileseey at service@mileseey.com to download the PC software and complete the installation for browsing images and using the screen projection function of real-time images.
  • When USB mode is set to USB Disk, pictures can be browsed and data analyzed on the PC software by connecting the USB cable to the computer.
  • Note: To switch to U-Disk mode, restart the thermal imager and then plug in the USB cable. Do not change the image folder name or image name to avoid reading errors.
  • When USB mode is set to USB camera, connect the USB data cable to the computer. The projection function of real-time images can be realized on the PC software.
  • Note: To switch to USB camera mode, turn off the thermal imager, then plug in the USB cable; the device will automatically apply the USB camera mode. Do NOT unplug the USB cable during the computer screen projection process. Close the projection software first, then unplug the USB cable.

Auto Power Off

Select the auto power off option, press SET / ► to enter the setting. Press ▲ / ▼ to switch the time options. Press SET to confirm, then press the Return button (←) to return to the main setting menu.

Auto Save

Select the auto save option, press SET / ► to enter the setting. Press ▲ / ▼ to switch the "on/off" options. Press SET to confirm, then press the Return button (←) to return to the main setting menu.

  • Select "on" to automatically save every picture taken.
  • Select "off" to require user confirmation for saving pictures.

Note: It is recommended to save no more than 2000 pictures to avoid affecting the device's reaction speed. When the number of pictures exceeds 2000, please clean up the SD card.

Factory Reset

Select the factory reset option, press SET / ► to enter the setting. Press ▲ / ▼ to switch between "Yes/No" options. Press SET to confirm, then press the Return button (←) to return to the main setting menu.

Note: Please use the Factory Reset function prudently, as all information in the device will be lost once reset is confirmed.

Format SD Card

Select the Format SD card option, press SET / ► to enter the setting. Press ▲ / ▼ to switch between "Yes/No" options. Press SET to confirm, then press the Return button (←) to return to the main setting menu.

Note: Please use the Format SD card function prudently, as all information on the SD card will be lost once formatting is confirmed.

Browse Image

Short press the Browse Image button (▶) to enter the Image browsing interface. Press ◀ / ▶ to select different images. Press the SET button to enter the delete image option. Press ▲ / ▼ to select "Delete a single image" or "Delete all images", then press SET to confirm deletion.

Note: Do not move the SD card while browsing images, as all images on the SD card will be lost.

LED Light

To prevent the LED light from causing the device's temperature to increase and affect measurement accuracy, the LED light will automatically turn off after 5 minutes of continuous lighting. If you need to use it again, please turn it on.

Warranty Terms

Warranty period:

  • This product has a one-year guarantee under the precondition of non-artificial damage.

Within the warranty period, certain maintenance costs will be charged under the following cases:

  • Damages caused by improper usage or maintenance of the tool.
  • The tool has been disassembled or mended by a non-authorized third party.
  • Absence of the warranty card or the purchase invoice.
  • The serial number on the warranty card differs from the one on the product.
  • The serial number has been altered or abraded.
  • Damages caused by force majeure factors.
  • Replacement of worn-out accessories.
  • Damages caused by abnormal factors such as temperature/humidity during usage.
  • Damages caused by improper operation.

Please send the tool with the warranty card & purchase invoice to a local dealer for maintenance if needed. The warranty card will not be reissued if lost; please keep it carefully for maintenance.
