CE Marking: MLAP GmbH hereby declares that the ice cream maker complies with the following European requirements:

  • EMC Directive 2014/30/EU
  • Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU
  • Ecodesign Directive 2009/125/EG

Assembly and Commissioning

1. Remove all packaging material.

2. Before commissioning and before each use, clean all loose parts (lid (14) with splash guard (4), mixing paddle (13) and accessories) and the aluminum bowl (12) with a soft cloth and normal dish soap. To clean the aluminum bowl (12) more easily, tilt the appliance (at an angle of 45°) (Fig. F).

3. Let everything dry thoroughly.

4. Place the ice cream maker on a flat, non-slip, and heat-resistant surface.

5. Place the lid (14) onto the motor block (15) and slide it forward until it clicks into place (Fig. D).

6. Insert the mixing paddle into the drive shaft of the motor block (15) (Fig. E).

8.1. Using the Ice Cream Maker

LET OP! (ATTENTION!) Possible damage to the appliance! Damage to the appliance due to improper handling. Never store ice cream after preparation in the aluminum bowl (12), but transfer it to a suitable freezer container.

The appliance is powered by an electric motor. This may cause an odor the first time it is used. This is normal and does not indicate a defect in the appliance. Ensure adequate ventilation.

Add the ingredients into the aluminum bowl (12) of the ice cream maker. Use the supplied measuring cup or measuring spoons to measure the ingredients. Adhere to the maximum filling quantity of 400 ml.

Place the fully assembled lid with the contacts (3) to the right of the housing locking lug (5) onto the housing (11), so that the mixing paddle (13) is in the aluminum bowl (12). Rotate the lid downwards clockwise with light pressure until it clicks into place and the contacts (3) of the lid are directly above the contacts (7) of the ice cream maker (Fig. G).

Connect the appliance to a properly installed socket. The local mains voltage must match the technical data of the appliance. Use only the supplied power adapter.

As soon as you plug in the power adapter, a signal will sound and button (18) will light up red.

Select the desired preparation method by pressing button (16) or button (17). The respective button will light up green after pressing.

If the lid is not fitted correctly, no ice cream can be prepared. The buttons on the appliance will remain lit, but the motor will be blocked, preventing the mixing paddle from rotating.

The ice cream maker will now start preparing. To add extra ingredients, such as nuts, open the lid by turning it counter-clockwise and remove it. The cooling process continues, but the mixing paddle stops rotating.

After adding the ingredients and closing the lid, the mixing paddle will rotate again, and the preparation process will continue.

Once the machine has started, the appliance automatically lowers the temperature in the aluminum bowl. The preparation time depends on the recipe and the selected preparation method (using button (16) or button (17)). When the ice cream mass has reached the desired consistency, you can interrupt the process prematurely and remove the ice cream from the machine.

To stop the ice cream maker before the preparation time has elapsed, press button (18). After pressing the button, the preparation time will restart.

If the ice cream becomes too firm and the motor blocks, causing the mixing paddle to stop rotating, a signal will sound 15 times, and the selected button will flash yellow. The ice cream will continue to be cooled until it reaches the desired consistency.

Depending on the recipe, the maximum preparation time for soft-consistency ice cream using button (17) is approx. 90 minutes, and for hard-consistency ice cream using button (16) is approx. 120 minutes.

After this time has elapsed or you have manually switched off the appliance, unplug it from the socket.

Remove the lid (14) with the motor block (15) and the mixing paddle (13). Press the release button (1) to remove the mixing paddle. Use the supplied silicone spatula and tilt the housing at a 45° angle (Fig. F) to remove the ice from the aluminum bowl.

Only use the ice cream maker again after it has reached room temperature. Allow the aluminum bowl to reach room temperature again after ice preparation. Clean the appliance parts (aluminum bowl, lid with splash guard, and mixing paddle) thoroughly as described on page 79.

Strawberry-Vanilla Flair (1-2 portions)100 ml whipping cream
100 ml whole milk
3 tbsp strawberry jam
