This appliance is intended for commercial applications, for example in kitchens of restaurants, canteens, hospitals, and in commercial enterprises such as bakeries, butcheries, etc., but not for continuous mass production of food.

Safety Instructions
- Position on a flat, stable surface.
- Installation and repairs should be carried out by a qualified service agent/technician. Do not remove components.

- Caution! Hot surface! ? The unit remains hot during and after cooking. Avoid touching surfaces to prevent scalding.
- DO NOT immerse the appliance in water.
- DO NOT clean with jet/pressure washers.
- DO NOT carry when hot.
- DO NOT leave unattended during operation.
- DO NOT obstruct or cover the appliance when in use.
- Not suitable for outdoor use.
- Always switch off and disconnect the power supply when not in use.
- Use only in accordance with these instructions by competent persons.

- Always use the black handles to lift the plates.
- Never use the appliance in the open position.
- Connect to a circuit protected by an appropriate RCD (Residual Current Device).
Installation
- Place on a heat-resistant surface, away from flammable materials.
- Maintain a distance of 20cm (7 inches) from walls/objects for ventilation.
- Keep away from splashing water and countertop edges.
- Note: Before first use, clean with warm soapy water and let dry completely.
- Install handles as illustrated (Page 32).
Operation
The waffle maker features an upper and lower plate, a handle, a timer dial, a heat indicator light, a power switch, and a thermostat. A batter collecting tray fits at the base.
Baking Waffles
- Close the plates. Connect to mains power. Place batter collecting tray if needed.
- Note: Lightly grease plates with cooking oil if necessary, depending on food.
- Turn on the power switch to position

. - Set the thermostat to the desired temperature. The HEAT indicator light turns on.
- When the set temperature is reached, the HEAT indicator light turns Off. (During use, it cycles on/off to maintain temperature).
- Lift the upper plate, pour batter onto the bottom plate, and close the upper plate.
- Turn the plates 180 degrees clockwise using handles until locked. This ensures even batter spread.
- Set the timer dial to the desired baking time.
- An audible beep signals when cooking time expires.
- Return appliance to original position, lift upper plate, and remove waffles with a heat-proof spatula.

. Disconnect from power supply.
Tips for Baking Waffles
- Do not overfill with batter; excess may drip.
- Baking time depends on batter amount, thickness, and ingredients.
- Browning depends on ingredients, time, and ambient temperature; sugary batter browns faster.
- Avoid repeatedly opening the plates during baking to prevent sticking or undercooking.
Overheating Protection
The appliance has overheat protection that automatically cuts power. The thermal cut-out switch is at the rear. To reset after cooling:
- Unscrew the reset switch cover.
- Press the small reset switch until it clicks.
- The appliance is now reset.
Cleaning, Care & Maintenance
- Always turn OFF and disconnect from power before cleaning.
- Allow to cool, but cleaning plates while slightly warm yields best results.
- Use warm, soapy water and a damp cloth for the exterior.
- Be careful with scrapers; they can damage the cooking surface.
- Dry thoroughly.
- Warning: Do not use steel wool, as it can leave food-contaminating shards.

Connect the 3-pin BS1363 plug to a suitable mains socket.
