Thank you for purchasing your Connex Connect Smart Tech device.
Download the Connex Connect App from Google Play or the iOS store to connect your Smart Tech devices to your home 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi. The Connex Connect App allows you to manage all your Smart Tech devices from your mobile or tablet with a single application.

The plug itself features:
- 1. LED Light ?: Indicates the status of the plug.
- 2. Reset Button: Used for resetting the device ⚙️.
Requirements
- Ensure you are connecting to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network ?. The Connex Connect plug will not work on a 5 GHz Wi-Fi network.
- Have your Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password ready.
- Your mobile device must be running iOS® 8 or higher, or Android™ 4.1 or higher.
Step 1: Download the Connex Connect App
Download the Connex Connect App from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store.
You can find the app by searching for "Connex Connect".

Step 2: Register an Account
Register an account on the Connex Connect App to manage your devices.
The app provides options to register by phone number or email address. You will need to verify your account with a code sent via SMS or email.
Existing users can log in using their registered mobile number or email address and password.
Step 3: Plug In and Connect
Plug the Connex Connect Plug into a power outlet and switch it on. The plug's LED indicator will flash repeatedly, approximately 2 times per second, indicating it is in "Easy Mode" and ready for connection.
How to Reset the Device
- To enter "Easy Mode": Press and hold the reset button for 3 seconds until the indicator light flashes rapidly (2 times per second).
- To enter "AP Mode": Reset the plug again by pressing and holding the button for 3 seconds until the indicator light flashes slowly (once every 3 seconds). AP Mode is a backup connection mode.
Step 4: Easy Mode Connection
In the Connex Connect App, navigate to the device screen and tap the "+" icon ➕ in the top right corner to add a new device.
Ensure the LED on the plug is flashing rapidly, indicating it is "ready to connect".

Enter your Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password. The app will then attempt to connect to your device.
During connection, the app will show the progress (e.g., 14%). Ensure your router, mobile device, and the smart plug are as close as possible for a stable connection.
If the connection fails, you can try connecting using the AP Mode described in the next step.
Step 5: AP Mode Connection
If Easy Mode connection fails, switch to AP Mode. In the Connex Connect App, tap the "+" icon ➕ in the top right corner and select "AP Mode" from the top corner options.
Proceed by selecting "next" and entering your Wi-Fi and password details.

Connect your phone's Wi-Fi to the device's hotspot. The hotspot name will typically be "SmartLife_XXXX" or similar.
Once connected to the hotspot, go back to the Connex Connect App to continue adding the device.
Follow the on-screen instructions to select the device from your Wi-Fi list.
The Connex Connect App will then connect to your device.

How many devices can I control?
The Connex Connect App can control an unlimited number of devices and locations. However, your Wi-Fi router has a limit on the number of devices it can connect to.

How do I group multiple Connex Connect devices?
You can group similar devices together by room or location. To do this, select the device you want to group from the Connex Connect App main screen, tap "edit" in the top right corner, then select "Create Group". You can then choose which devices to include and rename the group.

How do I share devices with family and friends?
To share devices, select the "Me" icon ?, then navigate to "Home Management" and "Add Family". Any family member you wish to share with needs to have the Connex Connect App downloaded and an account registered.

What is the wireless range?
The wireless range of the plug is dependent on your home router's specifications and the strength of your Wi-Fi signal.

Why does the plug appear off-line?
- Ensure the plug is turned ON ✅. The plug's power must be on to operate correctly.
- Make sure your Wi-Fi router is powered on and within range ?. Your Connex Connect Smart device requires a stable Wi-Fi signal to function.

Why can't I connect to my Wi-Fi?
- Ensure your device and your mobile are connected to the same home network ?.
- Make sure you have entered the correct Wi-Fi password during the setup process.
- Ensure your Wi-Fi signal strength is adequate at the device's location.

Important Information
Before using the plug, please read and follow all instructions, including the following:
CAUTION: Risk of electric shock or burns ⚡. Use in a dry location only.
Do not install the device with wet hands or when standing on a wet or damp surface. The device is suitable for use in an operating environment between -20 °C and 40 °C (-4 °F and 104 °F). Ensure that the voltage of the plug is compatible with your country's main electricity supply before connecting it to a plug socket. Make sure the plug pins match the socket. The plug has no serviceable parts.
Cleaning & Care Instructions
- Before Cleaning: Ensure that your Connex Connect plug is not plugged into any socket before cleaning or maintaining it.
- Cleaning: Wipe down the surface of your Connex Connect plug using a soft, slightly damp cloth.
- Do not use any harsh or abrasive cleaning chemicals or materials, as this may damage or scratch the surface finish.
- Do not expose your Connex Connect plug to high temperatures for extended periods.
- Do not store in temperatures over 60 °C / 140 °F.
Environmentally Friendly Disposal
Do not dispose of electrical appliances as unsorted municipal waste. Use separate collection facilities. Contact your local government for information regarding available collection systems. If electrical appliances are disposed of in landfills or dumps, hazardous substances can leak into the groundwater and enter the food chain, potentially damaging your health and well-being.

Warranty
This Connex Connect Smart Wi-Fi Plug includes a standard 12-month limited warranty against manufacturing defects and faults. Should your product be unboxed with any faulty parts, poor finishing, or visible damage, or fail to perform due to a manufacturing defect or poor workmanship, please return it with your proof of purchase (till slip or invoice) to the store of purchase for an exchange or repair, depending on the store's returns policy.
This warranty commences from the date of purchase. Kindly retain your proof of purchase as well as the packaging for your warranty period.
NOTE: The Warranty does not apply to a Product that:
- a) Has failed due to excessive wear and tear beyond what is considered to be reasonable.
- b) Has been misused or neglected.
- c) Has been damaged accidentally or by Force Majeure, including fire and flooding.
- d) Has been used or operated contrary to operating or maintenance instructions outlined in this manual.
The Store of Purchase / Seller cannot accept any returned products that have not been returned in accordance with this warranty or which do not follow their own Returns Policy. Please refer to the Store of Purchase / Sellers Returns Policy for details.
