Welcome
Thank you for purchasing your Connex Connect Smart Tech device. Download the Connex Connect App from Google Play or iOS store, and connect your Smart Tech devices to your home 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi. One App to manage all your Smart Tech devices from your mobile or tablet.

Requirements
- Ensure you are connecting to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network. The Connex Connect device will not work on a 5 GHz Wi-Fi network.
- Have your Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password ready.
- Your mobile device must be running iOS® 8 or higher or Android™ 4.1 or higher.
- Use an existing E27 or B22 light socket (depending on the bulb shape).
Step 1: Download the Connex Connect App
Download the Connex Connect App from Google Play or the iOS App Store.

Step 2: Register an Account on the Connex Connect App
Follow the on-screen instructions within the Connex Connect App to register a new account using your phone number or email address, or to log in if you already have an account.

Step 3: Plug In and Connect
Screw the Connex Connect Bulb into a compatible light socket and switch on the light. The bulb will flash repeatedly, approximately 2 times per second, indicating it is in "Easy Mode".
How to Reset the Device
- To enter "Easy Mode" (flashing 2 times per second): Turn the bulb off and on 3 times.
- To enter "AP Mode" (slowly flashing once every 3 seconds, a backup connection mode): Reset the bulb again by turning it off and on 3 times after it is already in Easy Mode.

Step 4: Easy Mode Connection
In the Connex Connect App, navigate to the device screen and click the "+" icon in the top right corner to add a new device.
Ensure the bulb is flashing rapidly, indicating it is "ready to connect".

Step 4: Enter Wi-Fi Details
Enter your Wi-Fi network name and password. The app only supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi networks.
The Connex Connect App will attempt to connect to your device. Ensure your router, mobile device, and the smart bulb are as close as possible during this process.
If the connection fails, try connecting using the AP Mode (Step 5).

Step 5: AP Mode Connection
In the Connex Connect App, click the "+" icon in the top right corner to add a new device. Select "AP Mode" from the top corner options.
Follow the on-screen prompts to select "next" and enter your Wi-Fi and password details.

Step 5: Connect to Device Hotspot
Connect your phone's Wi-Fi to the device's hotspot. The hotspot name will typically be displayed in your phone's Wi-Fi list (e.g., "SmartLife_XXXX").
Once connected to the device's hotspot, go back to the Connex Connect App and continue to add the device. The app will then connect to your device.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

How many devices can I control?
The Connex Connect App can control an unlimited number of devices and locations. Your router has a limit on how many devices can connect to it.

How do I group multiple Connex Connect devices?
You can group similar devices by room or location. From the Connex Connect App main screen, select the device you want to group, then select "edit" in the top right corner. Choose "Create Group", then select the devices you wish to group and rename them.

How do I share devices with family and friends?
Select the "Me" icon ➡️ Home Management ➡️ Add Family. The family member needs to have downloaded the Connex Connect App and registered an account to receive shared devices.

What is the wireless range?
The wireless range is dependent on your home router's specifications and the strength of your Wi-Fi signal.

Why does the bulb appear off-line?
- Ensure the light switch is turned ON (the light bulb should always be ON to operate correctly).
- Make sure your Wi-Fi router is on and within range, as the Connex Connect Smart device requires a Wi-Fi signal to function correctly.

Why can't I connect to my Wi-Fi?
- Ensure your device and mobile are on the same home network.
- Make sure you entered the correct Wi-Fi password during set-up.
- Ensure your Wi-Fi signal strength extends to your device location.

CE Certification
This device complies with CE Radio Equipment Directive [RED] 2014/53/EU & Restriction of Hazardous RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) This device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.
Important Information
Before installing or replacing a bulb, please read and follow all instructions.
CAUTION: Risk of electric shock or burns. Use in a dry location only.
- Do not install the device with wet hands or when standing on a wet or damp surface.
- Suitable for use in an operating environment between -20 °C and 40 °C (-4 °F and 104 °F).
- Not for use in totally enclosed luminaries.
- Do not use with a dimmer.
- Make sure that the voltage of the LED bulb is compatible with the main electricity supply of your country before connecting to a bulb holder.
- Ensure the base of the bulb matches the bulb holder.
- The LED bulb has no serviceable parts and needs to be replaced when the light source is extinguished.

Cleaning & Care Instructions
- Before Cleaning: Ensure that your Connex Connect light bulb is not plugged into any device before cleaning or maintaining it.
- Cleaning: Wipe down the surface of your Connex Connect light bulb using a soft, slightly damp cloth.
- Do not use any harsh or abrasive cleaning chemicals or materials on your Connex Connect light bulb, as doing so may damage or scratch the surface finish.
- Do not expose your Connex Connect light bulb to high temperatures for extended periods of time.
- Do not store in temperatures over 60 °C / 140 °F.
Environmentally Friendly Disposal
Do not dispose of electrical appliances as unsorted municipal waste. Use separate collection facilities. Contact your local government for information regarding available collection systems. If electrical appliances are disposed of in landfills or dumps, hazardous substances can leak into the groundwater and enter the food chain, potentially damaging health and well-being.

Warranty
This Connex Connect Smart Wi-Fi LED Bulb includes a standard 12-month limited warranty against manufacturing defects and faults. Should your product be unboxed with any faulty parts, poor finishing, or visible damage, or fail to perform due to a manufacturing defect or poor workmanship, please return it with your proof of purchase (till slip or invoice) to the store of purchase for an exchange or repair, depending on the store's returns policy.
This warranty commences from the date of purchase. Kindly retain your proof of purchase as well as the packaging for your warranty period.
NOTE: The Warranty does not apply to a Product that:
- a) Has failed due to excessive wear and tear beyond what is considered to be reasonable.
- b) Has been misused or neglected.
- c) Has been damaged accidentally or by acts of God including fire and flooding.
- d) Has been used or operated contrary to operating or maintenance instructions outlined in this manual.
The Store of Purchase / Seller cannot accept any returned products that have not been returned in accordance with this warranty or which do not follow their own Returns Policy. Please refer to the Store of Purchase / Sellers Returns Policy for details.
